I couldn’t watch Flip or Flop for exactly that reason. That guy is a complete idiot when it comes to estimating renovation costs, and I couldn’t deal with how his wife didn’t just smack him upside the head for thinking you could gut and fully renovate a kitchen for $8000.

You could tell their fights about tile choices were about more than tile. Please, no more grey.

I’m kind of surprised at the amount of comments calling them a “normal couple”. Nothing about them has ever struck me as being ‘normal’, and Tarek kinda seems like he’d be a d-bag. *shrug*

For those of us that watch the shoe regularly (GUILTY!), the fact that they are separated comes as no surprise. The way that they talk to each other on the show, it always seemed like divorce was imminent.

I cannot imagine the torture of working with my ex-husband in front of cameras while we were separated and divorcing. I don’t know why these people are torturing themselves like this.

He doesn’t just lack intellectual curiosity, he’s fucking lazy and unwilling to do any part of the job that he finds boring. He could literally get someone to read his daily briefings to him in their entirety, but he won’t even do that.

It’s a mark of intelligence to recognize what you don’t know and seek counsel and knowledge about it. Only stupid people think they know everything.
