Perhaps...but again, history is filled with politicians and military leaders having a photo op with perceived and real enemies...some of which soon after became allies (and vice versa). And plenty of flag officers have made plenty of mistakes over the colorful history of the US. I appreciate your respect for the AF

However, history is filled with folks who may have been there done that...yet, in their old age, succumb to the numbness of politics and self-preservation. Uncertain if that is his case.
