Everyone of the LSOs are tremendous pilots and great human beings. The guys you hear in these videos are most likely second tour senior LTs or LCDRs who have a great number of hours in the aircraft and have really thought the whole process through as you can particularly hear in the A-6 landing.

My skipper did an amazing flyaway after a nose gear collapse on his S-3 Viking and returned for a barricade landing (minus his right seater who ejected).

In memory of the 7 crew of Ranger 12, an EA-3 from VQ-2 who, through a long, tragic chain of events took the barricade too high and crashed into a cold Mediterranean Sea on 25 January, 1987.

After having replied to my original post, I hope you spent a moment reading my responses to others who felt the same way you did...if not, then I invite you to do so.

Well, I was going to offer some light bedtime reading to anyone interested in a new publication put out by the Office of Naval Intelligence:

...perhaps it needs AB to fly safely in this configuration?

First, my apologies. I didn’t understand that you had served on the boats. You have my greatest respect.

That’s interesting...don’t know if the times have changed and their continuous combat has made them the way you describe.

Appreciate your thoughts....while I can’t provide you with an accurate, professional response due to not having any experience as SF, I will say:

Interesting thoughts, star

Jos...you are absolutely correct...the first two lines are me being melodramatic.

....um...just being a bit melodramatic...thanks, though, for the thoughtful reply.

I know...as I said to another...just having a melodramatic moment.

You are absolutely correct...and I was enjoying a touch of the melodramatic.

Pretty sure the photog(s) would be dead if SF didn’t want to pose for this.

What you see (here)...is never what you get...

Yozik...thank you for your response.

Thanks for that Rage...that’s why I want to get the word from those in the fray.

Rage...I think there is some hope for these vessels...but someone other than the current boneheads working on the project needs to take over and give them fresh life.

Thank you, sir...for the kind vote.
