Thank you! I’m just starting out.

That, sir, is a beautiful shot...the B&W makes it much more so.

That barricade shot scares me.

...well, kinda!

Good...I’m glad to see you guys did that too like we did with the “call signs.”

Amateur here too. What settings on a digital SLR provide that effect for the wake?

That wasn’t you wearing “Giggles”? Ahhh the assumptions!

As usual, thank you! These photos are amazing and important. They are of a world we rarely see because “no one” finds the black shoe Navy exciting or sexy...which is our loss.

Here’s an attempt!

Sorry...a flipping of the bird...

Some had/have retractable probes...such as the F-105 (0r my Viking).

...and Jesus! I just noticed they’re wearing their drysuits underneath their flight suits!

Ahhh...those side opening canopies...oh how I miss the F-104.

And let us expect Tyler to provide us with those great photos from said photo op.

Packed hangar bays were even more common during the Cold War, when up to 90 aircraft were carried on Nimitz Class carriers during deployments. Making things even more challenging was the fact that many more types of aircraft made up a typical super-carrier air wing than what the Navy fields today.

They are quite amazing...but it helps to have had 75+ years of practice.

Actually, they do!

“I also doubt they have the ability to track or find us in the open ocean, or even in the littorals...”

Yep, Evil...fear is a magnificent budget tool.
