I feel like I'm sitting on an electoral BOMB about to go off!
I feel like I'm sitting on an electoral BOMB about to go off!
*Steve Perry chuckles melodiously to himself, continues to enjoy quiet retirement*
Oooh Perry!
Remember that part of GotG2 where the characters explained the exact plot tropes they were using, and what each song on the diegetic soundtrack was meant to symbolize?
…
…That was great.
Bizarrely, Scalia has now had a weird kind of postmortem bipartisan renaissance among law professors, because he was so salty and folksy sometimes.
It's super gross.
It is truly bizarre to watch people's desires to both be
1) The hyperlogical Spock-esque science-fetishist, and
2) The insurgent countercultural truth-teller who goes against the Man
come into complete conflict with each other and both exist at the same time.
I've made friends with a lot of the veterans in my classes, and most of them seem really chill and cool about stuff. A small few are really egotistical jerks, but they mostly came from branches where that's…sort of the mentality.
Oh come on - if that were a policy, I'd have never found out how many of my coworkers were antivaxxers!
Well okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay then, Chairman Mao!
Engineers, easy
Nothing like having some Comp-Sci STEMlord thinking they're an expert on the Supreme Court after reading half of one VICE article.
Even better when they try and "educate" me about it when I'm an actual law student.
"Man, we sure love framing everything as a pitched battle between two diametrically opposed groups, don't we?"
NO WE DON'T! THAT'S JUST YOU PEOPLE!
GOD, YOU ALL DISGUST ME!
Hey there, Tammy Faye!
It's a paradox.
Not my favorite Beatles tune.
I SAY…LET 'EM STING!
Yeah, yeah, okay, fine.
THE AV CLUB
a brute, lowest-common-denominator attempt to inflict yourself on someone else
*Chuck suddenly hurls phone away from his body upon realizing it didn't run on paraffin*
It's like Alex Jones taking his shirt off. It's not flirtation or an attempt at seduction. It's a brute, lowest-common-denominator attempt to inflict yourself on someone else.
"I can make you look at this, thereby I have power over you."
Not forensically, physically, OR politically.
How's the architecting?
