I totally did this yesterday in Madison! I could only get 1 bubble to actually float because I was using the handle of a scissors as a bubble blower but it froze in mid-air and exploded into tissue-like shreds that flew all over the place.

I agree that the initial dickwolves thing wasn't remotely as offensive as people made it out to be (and I'm a raging feminist here) but his response was just terrible. He also made some very rough, ignorant comments about transgender people not too long ago and once again got embroiled in a whole post-argument instead…
Bub's a girl, just FYI
Except that she wanted it to, maybe? I personally would also prefer it with a non-midriff suit but I didn't feel like digging through the internet to find one that's "perfect." It gets my point across well enough—she's obviously a female version of Cap without switching over to a dress of some kind.
I see what you mean with the brands, at least, I'm glad to see that women are embracing properties like Dr. Who and the Avengers and really making it their own. But for me, personally, I am super tired of seeing badass characters (both male and female, really, Wonder Woman gets the treatment too) reduced to ruffles…
I kinda wish people would stop designing/making evening gowns/gothic lolita outfits/50s pinup shit for women out of superhero themes. Can we not just be heroes ourselves?
Ahahahahah wow. I'm sure it was really terrible at the time but the mental image of the firehose made me laugh like nothing else has today. Thanks.
Please, continue laying on the tough love to a 12-year-old girl with naturally big hair! We're all enjoying it a lot!
Alternately, you could try and exercise some basic human empathy and reach the conclusion that both you and this girl deserve to have your reasonable preferences respected. Good job for going for the asshole option, I guess!
I'm aware. My point was more that the extent to which women's bodies are sexualized is so absurd. It should not be the case that the image of a woman's breast interferes with her life no matter how it was obtained.
This lady is awesome but I can't help but feel sad that this much action needed to be taken against the backlash that could have resulted from her daughter's SINGLE VISIBLE BREAST.
I'm not afraid to confess that when I was watching this week's AHS last night and Queenie did a shot, I backed up the episode, poured myself one too, and did it with her. She is totally, totally my BFF.
I saw it and I had a similar response, although I thought the message was that he'd only date her if he shaped himself up because he finally (hopefully) realized that HE was the problem, not her. But I was still kind of creeped out that he even got a second chance.
Oh man, and now Mr. DraculAnblick tells me that Antonia Bird died last week! I'm going to watch Ravenous like... tomorrow to commemorate her. :( It's a movie with a lot of fond memories for me, it was one of the first obscure horror movies I watched with a group of friends who was new to me in college and is now my…
I DID NOT KNOW THAT RAVENOUS WAS DIRECTED BY A WOMAN. I am so excited about this!
Hell yes that is so you. FLAWLESS.
I don't think it's unreasonable critique. For example, I read Portia di Rossi's book about her struggles with anorexia, and at one point when discussing her life after she mostly recovered, she mentioned that she had gotten "heavy" at something like 150 pounds. I'm the same height as her and my weight generally sits…
Or with whatever decision is right for them, maybe? My husband's last name is way more badass than mine but it's not MY name.
Me too. Why not spend some creative energy doing something new for a change, people? Even worse, I cosplay and follow a lot of cosplay blogs and people looooove to cosplay this shit. So I see not only the art all over but people's real-life adaptations of it. Sigh.
