I didn’t order mine any kind of style because I don’t know what any of the styles are. Which is precisely the problem....if it’s not on a menu I can see I don’t know wtf I’m ordering. So I order off the standard menu that everyone says is a mistake but that’s my only option.

I didn’t say there’s no difference just that it’s a low bar to clear and everyone touts a menu that isn’t on the menu as the best things they make. I can’t roll up there and order something I don’t know exists.

It is not.  

If the baseline is beating McDonalds and the good menu isn’t on the menu it’s a bad strategy.  Sure its cheap but so are many other options where I can order a complete listing from the menu and none of it is crap

I can fry a bag or ore-idas at home and make a half decent fry....professional chains should be able to make something at least decent.

Bad food.  If all you have to do is beat McDonalds and it takes off-menu options to do so it’s a shit restaurant

If I travel half way across the country and have a chance to eat at a place I’ve heard about endlessly only to find out the menu doesn’t have any of the names I’ve heard on it, and I have to ask for something different with the sides to make them edible, it is not a good place to eat.

Just out here helping arm the masses. An armed society is a safe society after all

in-n-out is the most overrated basic fast food I’ve ever eaten. If the only good things to eat are on a secret menu, your menu is no good. And they have notoriously shit fries.....why don’t they fix that??
