Because polls in Wisconsin showed her well ahead in that state. She didn’t campaign in Wisconsin because the available information told her that Wisconsin was safe. This is standard political campaigning. Blame her campaign for not questioning the polls, but don’t blame them for being strategic based on them.

Yes, I’ve been crying too. And as I said to my hub - it’s not that my candidate lost. I’ve had that before, I’ve been voting since 1990. It’s that my faith in the basic decency of the humans in this country has been shattered.

Yes. Said as a white person. This is a white people thing. White people did this. This is on white people and only white people. Hillary Clinton could have been the world’s most inspiring candidate and it would not have mattered. White people wanted Trump. And got him.

I’m Canadian and this morning I had a good cry when I saw the results. This will likely affect Canada’s economy but I’m way more concerned with the 20 steps back the US just took regarding gender equality. I really hope that this plague doesn’t spread up North, or around the world.

Are we really that surprised by Florida’s vote? They’ve been the trash bin of social and political fuck ups for the last few years.

I’ve said this before here but Trump was the backlash to the incredible leap forward that was Obama. 2 steps forward, 1 step back, as usual.

I want one of these motherfuckers to come on here and defend themselves now. Right fucking now. Own up to it!

This. Arrogance? Hardly.

How about creating programs that make life better for EVERYONE, not just Joe GED fighting for his job at the Tyson factory? And I don’t say this as arrogance. This is what SE Iowa looks like. Kids don’t go to college so they can go work at the Tyson factory because they are told BY THEIR

I’m an American of Mexican blood. I woke up at 4 am, saw results and seriously wept. Like heaving, sobbing, whimpering. It’s not so much Trump being president, it’s that I always pictured America as the shining city on the hill, the idealist country, filled with intelligence and freedom and decency. It is so

This is about whiteness more than anything else. I am so angry right now. I am that fucking trope today. America your history has failed me and now your future has, too.

The margin of victory for Trump in Michigan and Wisconsin was less than the total of Jill Stein voters in both sates. If those precious little babies had simply voted strategically the “meaning” we are all about to start deriving from this shit-show would have been radically different.

Bigly.

So what do the Trump supporters do when there’s no wall, no deportations, and Obamacare gets renamed and retooled but not eliminated?

My bad Large

Totally agree. I think Liberals need to take a long look in the mirror and think about one thing, arrogance. They have been so cocky and arrogant about this election cycle or the last two or three. It jumped up and bit them in the ass in a huge way last night.

So what do the Trump supporters do when there’s no wall, no deportations, and Obamacare gets renamed and retooled but not eliminated?

Yeah, I’m gonna need a minute before I start looking to my neighbor on the left or right as a potential ally in the fight for a ‘better’ tomorrow. This shit is soul-crushing.

I’m sending RBG super vitamins is what I’m doing
And whatever Stephen Breyer is having too

And I’m going to start watching Fox News, so I can see what Bret Baier and Anne Coulter and Sean Hannity have planned for us in the run up to 2020.
I’ll report back.

I woke this morning extremely confused. In theory as a Repub I should be happy, but I’m not. I can not believe the country could possibly be this stupid, but yeah actually I can.
