I’m so confused by this narrative, or pointing to polls saying Bernie would have won. You mean the same fucking polls that said Hillary was going to win, and fucked us entirely?!

You can only have role models that do the same thing you do? It doesn’t matter that they are speaking out on civil rights if you can’t dunk like them? It doesn’t matter that their stories of triumph can inspire your own life if you don’t also get drafted?!

Why shouldn’t they be, though? I hate that sentiment. They worked hard, and in many cases, pulled themselves out of poverty. Shouldn’t they be the poster child of what a role model can be, when it’s a positive one?

Isn’t this freaking awesome?! I hope that artists and athletes give any invite a hard pass for the next four years. I mean, I know Nugent and Scott Baio are down, but the respectable ones with cultural relevance all declining would be amazing.
