I just tried it, and yes, it works the same with Chrome. :)

As others have pointed out, you actually need to double tap the crown before making a payment.
Plus, who rests their hand on the terminal? Where I'm from anyways, there's always a little table area just to the right (for people to write checks). That would by my "casual resting place" of choice.
I prefer to have it on, actually. I backup all my pictures with Google+ auto backup, and Google's "stories" are pretty dang awesome. Plus, my facebook is pretty locked down (ie, whoever can see my pictures already know where I am) so that's not an issue. I find the positives outweigh the negatives in my case.
True. Right now we can only go off of what they claim they'll do. We can never accurately predict the future, no matter the company.
From my understanding when watching the live stream, it'll turn on automatically when you lift your wrist, and turn off when you put your wrist down. Similar to turning off the ambient screen on the motorola 360.
Can I recommend splitting Android into "Android - Amazon" and "Android - Google Play"? I know you can easily scan through and see which are Amazon and which are Google, but having a divider would be useful.

Ah, interesting. Thanks for the link.
Also, nobody checks for my photo id. Even though it's clearly put on the back of the card "CID", nobody asks for it. Even when making a big purchase, like a computer.
Where did you see that? Maybe I missed it because the live stream was cutting in and out, but that doesn't sound very... elegant. Especially if it's not necessary.
Although they specifically mentioned that they don't look at your data when talking about Apple pay. The mentioned it in a very subtle jab at Google, that they're not in the market of selling your data, so that info is between you and the vendor.
Good question. My guess from what I heard on the live stream is that all that information is stored on the phone, not the watch. If someone stole your watch, and it's out of range of the phone, it won't be able to pay for anything. If someone steals your phone, you can always remote wipe.
I really wish they would announce the price of the iPhone off contract. Just so I can see the insanely high number and forget all the other features. I can't afford it if it's the same price as the iPhone 5S was last year, so all these features won't matter if the price isn't within a person's dollar range.
Did anyone else notice that it's not the "iWatch" it's the "Apple watch"? Are they attempting to do some rebranding? Or was there a copyright issue with iWatch?
I agree. I walked into Walgreens a few months ago, and attempted to pay with my phone, since their terminal had the NFC logo. I was told by the cashier that they disabled them. Now that Apple has a partnership with them, I suppose they'll enable it again? Not too happy that it took Apple to make them do that, but I…
NFC actually has a really low range. You have to be within a few centimeters in order for it to work, which is why "tap to pay" was a popular slogan. Physical contact isn't actually needed, but it's so close you might as well tap. Also, with Android anyway, NFC is only enabled when the screen is on (to conserve…
Sorry Amazon, but it's too little too late for me. I've given up waiting, and moved on to Netflix. I've have found everything I need from that.
I've actually used Google Apps Script to take certain emails with certain labels (aka: web receipts) to save them as a PDF to my Google Drive. I then use Hazel to move them to my external HDD. Pretty awesome automated way to get receipts to a universal format on my HDDs.
Unrelated, I know. But still, it pretty much…
Weird, I did the same thing and was told it was only for new members. Strange... :/
New users only. I just tried it, unfortunately.
