I’m pleasantly surprised. I thought there’d be a mad scramble to greenlight every single toy based movie possible. Now its every single toy based movie possible minus one. Progress!

Absolutely unacceptable lack of Fuji-sama in this episode.
Hindsight is 20/20, but I am amazed at how much of Desantis’ disasterclass in campaiging was predicted by the last paragraph of the above comment.
Fingers crossed for a standalone adventure that has references to the series/lore for the stans but also can be watched without the weight of canon.
Fun show, a bit redundant now that Strange New Worlds is carrying the old school episodic live action Star Trek tradition.
Agreed. The first film doesnt belong on this list.
When I started grad school back in 2019 I wanted to know what my “field” was interested in, so I compiled the research abstracts of every peer-reviewed paper published in my field in the last 20 years and ran an LDA topic model on it. It was really useful and has influenced my research pipeline. So I totally get that…
> Uhuru sends the Great American Songbook through subspace in a clip from this week’s musical episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Olivia Colman up against Julia Louis Dreyfus’ Valentina deFontaine?
This slideshow makes me miss Tom Breihan’s A History of Violence (and other excellent recurring columns) on AVC.

I have mixed feeling about her. While I’m glad she’s making good trouble now, her inability to even acknowledge that Hillary may have been better than Trump, that people who were upset with her may have had a bit of a point, and I’m talking about interviews years into the Trump presidency, that really reeks of ego and…
Yo K.E.V.I.N. John David Washington is right there. Just recast.
I love that meaninglessly harming a robot is now referred to as doing a “boston dynamics”.
Can’t stop the signal Mal
It would be hilarious if in each season of Mando something big happens towards the end, and the show is always reset to status quo in some other show (e.g. in the Ahsoka show). A sort of meta sitcom (sitdram?) structure where the narrative always resets across seasons.
Bushwick (2017) was the Bautista performance that made me sit up and take notice. The movie went under the radar but DB was fantastic.
