It was fine. I didn’t hate it.

I actually enjoy the sincerity of this show, and the confidence it has just to be what it is. It isn’t desperate to raise the stakes like so much tv is.

I wonder if the same show with the same script would be getting a much more positive reception if MacFarlane wasn’t involved.

I’m super hyped about the prospect of a pleasant, good-natured show that may be funny in the long run. It’s been so long.

Blame the cancer that killed Beau Biden. Joe Biden went on Colbert’s Late Show in its first week and talked about making a public appearance where someone mentioned serving with Beau and Joe lost it.
