How cool would it be to have any game you want made by a team of professionals? What a great idea! It's amazing what Make-a-Wish foundation is able to pull off. In my hometown we had a parade for a make-a-wish kid that turned into an annual event. Kudos to Weinhert for choosing a wish that is so creative, productive

So, if a 9-year-old can't redefine a genre then he shouldn't bother with that career?

I'm very skeptical of this "playstation brand" direction. Playstation very clearly refers to a console, but throwing an emulator in something does not make it a console.

That doesn't sound fun, but it probably depends on who you play with. I've heard of similar issues with people getting super angry and frustrated trying to play 4-player NSMB Wii because they all sabotage each other, but I haven't had that problem. Of course we aren't competing for rupies, so I suppose it could get

Actually, I have no idea, but I do know that I haven't seen anything with a HD display be super cheap.

Every time I see a rumor about having a screen on the controllers, I think about Zelda: Four Swords Adventures. When it came out, I didn't know anyone else with a gameboy advance, let alone 3 people with link cables. If they ported that game to this console, I would be thrilled. Although, if each controller has it's

I started playing a few months ago. It's a lot of fun. I recommend:

This game doesn't bother me because it's intended to be over-the-top and ridiculous (at least I think so). What concerns me is when I see women like that in games that are supposed to be serious. That and some of the comments here that are truly disgusting.

Thanks for the response! Sorry it took me so long to see it (I was on vacation).

Both genders absolutely are represented in unattainable ways in much of the media.

"Video Games *are not* movies. They're not even interactive movies. They're an entirely new medium for stories, and can allow us to tell entirely new kinds of stories."

"If you took the script of Heavy Rain and made a movie out of it (which I understand they are), it'd be laughed off the screen."

For me, having a speaking character just means that I'm playing another character, not my character. So, if a game features highly customizable characters that I'm supposed to be allowed to shape, then I don't really want them to talk, unless I get to choose what they say and how they act like in Mass Effect.

I remember when arcades started featuring the big simulations that would charge $1.50 to play it for about 3 minutes. It was just to expensive. When I was a kid, getting TEN WHOLE DOLLARS to play in an arcade was a huge deal and pretty much was reserved for special events like birthday parties. The pricing model was

This was my favorite game that I played at PAX. I can't wait to get it and have some friends over to play.

They would have had me with this if they came out with it before the Verizon iPhone was announced. I would prefer the gaming buttons over the crap keyboard on my Droid any day, but I'm sick of the numerous Android glitches and missing out on the infinitely better app selection on the iPhone. Of course, these controls

I had the same reaction. It sounds predatory.

Take a break. There's absolutely no reason gaming should feel like a chore. Read, make something, get into a new show, or go hang out with people. Eventually you'll have the itch to play again, and it will feel a lot more fresh. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

The question isn't total erasure, it's market share. Both companies will survive, but it makes a huge difference whether Nintendo sells 50 million or 100 million units. The extreme success of the DS was not from steady hardcore gamers, it was from the huge increase in the casual market. Those are the customers that

One of the big reasons I play on consoles instead of PCs is to avoid this kind of inconvenience. I have a disc, I put it in the console, it plays. Simple.
