@Quest: Yeah, I'm pretty psyched about it, though the content hasn't really caught up yet. It will get there though. I think that this is a sign that the Mac is finally being taken seriously as a gaming platform, not in the sense of rivaling the PC (it doesn't), but in the sense that people who have macs want to be

@RGMVX: I'll have to check that out. The Trilogy is currently residing in my pile of shame, but I really need to get on playing it. The 2D metroid games are some of my favorite games of all time.

@DivergentRunoff: My partner is doing that now. It sounds like you have the right idea. Treat it like a "work" day and just stay on campus and get the work done. My partner purposefully schedules the classes with large gaps so that she's forced to be on campus all day.

@Slagathorian: Stand tall and shake the heavens...: Wow. Well good luck getting that guy off your payroll ASAP. It's a terrible shame too because not only are you getting screwed, but there are also tons of hard working people who can't find a job right now.

@jsin1276: I remember when splitscreen was cool too: last night when I had friends over. Online play will never replace local multiplayer for me. Besides, there are a ton of options on the 360/PS3 for online multiplayer, why add to the huge pile when the split-screen niche is so under-served?

@DivergentRunoff: I had great grades in high school, but I was completely undisciplined which I knew was going to be a problem in college. One thing that I did was I left my TV at home the first year and lent my games consoles to a close friend, so that I could still get a gaming fix on a fairly regular basis, but it

@Revival: I have a problem with finishing games as well, though usually it's because I get interested in something else and then it's hard to go back to a game after a long break and restart in the middle. I'm trying to get better, but there are just too many games and not enough time. It doesn't help that the games

@Mooncow27: I think the PSP2 will for sure, but I'm not so sure about the 3DS. Nintendo likes to set their own path, and I think that they are much more focused on just having fun than competition or achievements. Personally, I hope that they don't adopt an achievement system because while I enjoy having goals on my

@tanarchi: If we're going with animal crossing, I will have to say Tom Nook for having to repeat the same dialog every single time you talk to him, which feels like 50 million times.

Motorcycle class. I should have my license endorsement by the end of the weekend!

@maxwell913: From your post, it's hard to gauge how little money you have and what you mean by a "decent" TV, but I definitely recommend craigslist. The lifespan of TVs is easily 10+ years, but a lot of people decide to upgrade after just a few.

@Toshi: I like magic, but I don't like committing fully to a magic character. I usually like to go with a hybrid of magic and light swords.

@herogear: I think that the technology had to grow up a little bit.

@Veit: Dumb idea, why? There's a ton of potential. One of the limitations of competitive local multiplayer is that what one person sees, everyone sees. Being able to have private information would add a huge variety to the types of things you can do.

@DangerousLiberal: I love this feature! It means that if I don't have my kindle with me for some reason and I have some time to kill, I can use my Droid to pick up exactly where I left off.

I really hope they make the 3DS a compatible controller. I think there are a lot of possibilities with pairing the large screen with the private screens, and that would also add input options. It would also be worth it just for a remake of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures.

@simbot15: I've been toying with the idea of building a HTPC. I would definitely be interested to see the full specs.

@evanlemmons1: I used this to import the Rock Band 1 songs into Rock Band 2. I didn't feel too bad, because I still had to pay the import fee (which I think is ridiculous if you actually buy the full game). I think this is probably why they now include the one-time-use voucher with games instead.
