@bass28: It will be called the Wiii and it won't play Gamecube games.

@Weepee: Hardcore is someone that does hardcore things, naturally he has good tastes. It doesn't have to be objective, his definition is clear and I can get a lot of insight into it.

@Weepee: A "pool of good games" is not an industry. So no, the question is still a question, I was not just playing dumb and you are not helping answer it.

I have friends that play WOW. They seem to bail on me a lot more than my other friends, always claiming "they don't feel well". I'm suspicious.

@Weepee: I didn't ask about "hardcore", which is a ridiculous designation for a game (if anything can be classified as hardcore, its the players, not the games), I asked about the "real games industry".

@ssh83: Please, enlighten me. What's the "real game industry"?

I think a lot of women my age (mid twenties) played the classic Marios and whatnots as kids, but then grew out of it because games weren't really cool in teenage girl social circles. I'm the only gamer amongst my female friends, but most of them will talk at length with me about how much they rocked at Mario back in

@electroshockwave: True, but learning a keyboard is more of a practical necessity than an entertainment, and it's a literal translation. Press A to type 'a' is straightforward and consistent, whereas controller buttons are completely arbitrary and change with every game. TV/DVD remotes are also literal.

@Lapoisse: Yes! 2D over 3D any day. Also, give me a decent button-only control scheme.

@syafiqjabar of Mars: I prefer light, nimble characters that are good thieves but also have decent magic ability. I made up a custom class in Oblivion. I called it Shadowmage.

@Striderhayasa - Can we get some damn m/kb support?!: Everything I've seen specifically states that they will not charge for playing games. Hopefully that remains the case. I wonder if this has anything to do with Qore. I bought an episode and it basically felt like I paid to have sony advertise to me, oh and there

@Tha36thchamber: I agree completely. I hate it when there's a goal and you can't see your progress.

@csanders984: First off, LG Blu-ray player for $100, available now:

@mat1cs (still a nerd): I think the PS3 makes more sense. It's the native console and it will all be on one disc.

@FlashFlashCarCrash: You're right, it doesn't, which is why supply and demand is more of a tool to teach beginning economic principles and not really a viable model of real-world behavior. It's sort of like frictionless physics problems.

@frank0127: I would not want to sit reading text on the DSi LL for extended periods of time. The resolution will be about 76 ppi vs 150 ppi on most readers.

I can't remember the last time playing a game was a gleeful as NSMBW. It's not perfect, but the chaos with everybody talking is part of what makes it so fun. If you're the type of person the has to win or else you're not having fun, well then it's not a good game for you. But if you can shrug off a cheap death and

@WhiteMåge: Expandable cards are what make them practical option. By using a standardized card format, that gives xbox users essentially unlimited capacity to expand on their storage for competative prices, thus making them viable alternatives to a hard drive or hard drive upgrade.

@thecrocodilator: You obviously don't understand supply/demand economics. It's not a set price that either will sell or won't, it's always an optimization. Yes, it's true that there are plenty of people out there who will pay double the market cost of a regular hard drive for a proprietary one that's compatible with
