He's counting number of plays as being synonymous with number of listens. Which isn't true.

I'm annoyed by the way that artists are counting plays instead of listens when talking about streaming. If the song was streamed, it's likely one person heard it. If a song was played on radio, it's likely that thousands of people heard it.
