Absolutely. I'd like to think that if I saw someone being a sexist pig to someone other than me, I'd call them out. I think with "Mad Men" specifically, we can always use the excuse of "oh, that's how things were back then." I think the show is fully aware of that and WANTS audiences to be appalled/intrigued.

Yes, I know virgins who really haven't found the right person, and I think that's perfectly fine.

This doesn't make any sense to me. Why call it marriage? I guess because it's still legally-binding? Why not just have a prenup so that finances/childcare/etc. are discussed before tying the knot, and then just let life happen? I'm pretty liberal, but this just seems depressing.

I find his character intriguing and complex. If he were a real person, I'd probably want to spit on him, but as a character, I can accept him. I'm only partway into Season 2, so perhaps my opinion will change.

Oh, I know of at least three girls who considered themselves strictly Christian that engaged in oral & anal and still considered themselves virgins. I'd say if they didn't already include those forms of sex in the original study, the numbers would be more like 90-95%.

I am MUCH more confused by the shots of the "unresponsive" audience, while the audio has people cheering and screaming. I don't watch the show - am I missing something? Are the non-cheerers fans of other dancers?

I agree with you, but I think it's also ok for a Planned Parenthood to ask some questions along the lines to be sure someone wasn't FORCING her to have the abortion. That could be just as bad. But generally, yes, most women have carefully thought about it. The ones that made a "quick decision" probably don't need

At the high school I attended (in Canada), Cheerleaders might have worn their uniforms on game days, but other than when they were performing, that was the extent of it. Granted, their skirts weren't quite so short, and this was a dozen years ago.

Honestly, I was too young/traumatized to really remember whether anyone ever threatened her or not (when I say I was traumatized, I just mean enough that it has caused me to push it out of my head. Seriously, I don't even remember being beaten up, or my teacher walking me out of class - it's all things I've been told

This just doesn't seem logical. Makeup is now going to become forbidden fruit. These girls are going to simply use it to push the limits and see how much they can get away with. DUH. Now, all that said, I can certainly see that teens don't really NEED makeup, and it might have some positive effects. But as

My parents told me the same thing - I was bullied a lot in elementary school. My teacher had to walk me out of class to meet my older brother almost every day because of a girl that had threatened (and actually followed through a few times) to beat me up. My mother finally sat me down and said, "If she hits you, hit

As I said to alynn, I can't even handle this story if what they are presenting as truth is actually true.

Yeah, that theory is pretty much the only way I can even stomach this story. If the other option is true (that they're actually married in all ways), I don't even want to think about it.

I maintain this is all a PR stunt. I bet money that Hutchinson is actually a family friend and he and Courtney married to get press because they knew the general public would be disgusted. I bet money they've never even gone to 2nd base.

Dear Victim-Blamers, particularly those that Victim-Blame children:

THANK YOU! That was exactly what I was wondering! "Forget lying boys; WHO DOES HERMIONE LOVE???"

While I abhor all the Palins (save for the wee ones who aren't publicly fucked up yet), I feel so, so sorry for Bristol that she felt like she had to change her face so drastically. Call her a famewhore if you want (I do), but she was a pretty girl before all that surgery, and now she just looks like everyone else in

I personally grew up with both dogs and cats, from infancy, and had no problems until late high school, when I started to become sensitive to the family cat...who we'd owned for about 10 years prior to that time. Now, I have a cat, but am still slightly allergic - if he gets affectionate and starts rubbing on my face

O.O

To those who think this wasn't good apology because how could such an ignorant person turn trustworthy so quickly? You're right, but Southwests' hands are tied - the pilot HAS to apologize due to the national scandal. I think the apology is well written, and necessary, but I agree with those who are unsure about the
