Unfortunately, your first scenario is all too true. It happened to someone I know, may she rest in peace. Her killer was convicted and sentenced to prison, a small consolation for her life.

So I’m guessing given what a shiteshow his “story” and disposal of evidence has been that he tried to pull something on her sexually, she tried to stop him, and he ended up killing her before then trying to make it seem like an accident.
