One wonders how he thought Barack Obama came to be, in that case. If you followed that thought to its logical conclusion you’d almost... have... to... think... race... is... a... social... construct...

It’s not too late! In theory...

Who here wanted to be some kind of Yamaguchi-Kerrigan hybrid when they grew up? I don’t mean just a figure skater, I mean some perfect amalgamation of the TWO MOST GRACEFUL GODDAMN SWANS I HAD EVER SEEN IN MY TINY LIFE?

That would make a lot of sense. “Don’t mind me! Definitely up to my ears in pussy right now! Wow! Vaginas are really great and I love them very much!”

To me those Jason Derulo comments read like, “listen, I’m still a super virile dude! This lucky woman gets to be with me! But I can still bang lots of other chicks if I want!” This is not the way a secure person in a happy relationship talks about their personal life. I’d dump him fast for clearly feeling so

I’m having a third child to try and counteract the Duggar-Trump Death spiral of America. That’s how this all works, right?

Baked spiderwebs?

That’s part of stopping the scenario cold at any moment. But yes, thank you for that.

The most important piece of a “rape fantasy” is that consent is present. And that, at any time, either party can stop the scenario cold if they so choose. Rape fantasies can exist in healthy relationships. This is clearly neither a rape fantasy or a healthy relationship.

There are much more famous celebrities who have managed to keep their private lives private. How much do we know about John Krasinski and Emily Blunt’s life? We don’t know Scarlett Johanssen’s kids names. People who genuinely don’t want to share, don’t.

I feel like this fits unsettlingly well.

If Joe Biden winked at me I’d instantly sprout wings and fly away.

This is the best news I’ve heard all day!

But did you ever try putting the P in the V? I hear that works.

I know people who will say “never assume anything” and then when you ask them to clarify what they’d like, they bite your head off for not knowing. They really just want a second brain.

I don’t think rejecting Nazis damages the social contract. Engaging in violence does.

Far from it. I think it’s going to make him and his followers much worse, more dangerous. That seems like a bad outcome to me, but apparently I’m in the minority on that one.

I’m not arguing that at all. I’m saying, if you want to maintain a civil society, even when dealing with people like this who don’t, you have to be willing to cede your right to violence to the people who are entrusted to wield it (judges, juries, armed forces, and, gulp... the Commander in Chief).

But this is the same reasoning that the murderers of abortion providers use to justify their acts to themselves. I’m not saying white supremacy and abortion are in any way equivalent, but the logic is problematic. If, in a civil society, you don’t buy into the social contract wholesale you undermine its strength.

It’s a fair point. But i fear the repercussions of citizens in this country taking up arms against one another, especially with this administration. Steve Bannon believes WWIII (slogan: this time, with nukes!) is coming and I’m loath to help him further construct that narrative for himself.
