Yeah I would not do Allegra d- the “D” part is a stimulant. And its harmful if taken for more than 5 days at a time. I would consider taking 2 doses (morning and night) of the plain Allegra and adding a nasal steroid like Flonase. If that's not working - there are other options like singulair

As you get older our immune system changes- this is especially true during periods of hormonal change- for women this is puberty, menopause, pregnancy...

Hi Andy! Thx for having me! I guess A common misconception is that allergies are an isolated problem. Our body is completely interdependent so allergies are one sign of inflammation and autoimmunity. In other words by treating allergies you can treat a host of other inflammatory issues in your body.

Thanks for your post- I think it helps to bring up sx like this that seem to have no treatment.

That's actually not true- for food intolerances and allergies- avoidance and then re introduction is the gold standard. No testing can replace that.

Hey! I'm like you too :) I actually only do cottage cheese and Kiefer. I really never figured it out until I did the food avoidance diet myself.

Well usually it's for life. Young kids often outgrow them though.

I agree

Just try off dairy - often causes constipation

Unfortunately there is some concern with GMO crops and food allergy:

yes avoid it. No the iodine thing is a myth.

This is a nice graphic thx for sharing. Not sure what I think of cutting out so many fruits and vegetables though. It's not been my experience to see a problems with so many fruits and vegetables.

Love whole 30- it's a similar concept -Cut out dairy, grains, artificial stuff. I come at it from the allergy and inflammation angle so it's slightly different but overall dairy, soy and wheat are the top offenders.

Sorry about your onion allergy. Usually you do get the first signs within 30 min but there are def exceptions.

So, often "well" baked egg will be ok as in your case. The egg allergen changes structure with high and prolonged heating. Avoid raw, or eggs cooked at low temps.

well unfortunately I think you are right. We need better regulation and we need to do more controlled studies to find out the specific harmful effects of gmo and ge foods

ha!

you may be talking about eosinophilic esophagitis- that's a new type of food allergy. chicken can be a trigger but it's not a common food intolerance.

yes! Exactly
