For me it’s not so much juggling to make a few percent. It’s that if I wanted to pay “cash” for a car that is more than couch cushion money (for me that is $10K or so), I would have to cash out investments, realize gains, forego future gains, and pay taxes on those gains that are MUCH higher than the paltry interest

It is so hard to watch but has been alot of fun on FormulaDank ...

The difference is that China also has the best passenger train system in the world. Although yes, I think considering that most big Chinese cities have been almost entirely built in the last few decades, they definitely could have designed them to be a lot less car-dependent.

This just in: the defending World Champion and possibly the best there’s ever been, still in the best car in the field, is still a force to be reckoned with.

Mazepin was lapped by George Russell and was a minute behind his teammate. Finishing the race is actually a negative IMO...

Bit of a snoozer of a race. Some interesting bits and pieces, kinda nuts seeing Perez go 50+ laps on the mediums with which he started the race. Checo earned that Driver of the Day.

I kid, I kid, it’s beautiful. But I would definitely name mine Kermit.

This means that you won’t see any roof rails or a full-length sunroof in these pictures, as those are optional in the European market, but standard in the U.S. market.

My take away is that Tesla will say anything to defer blame.

My stinkin’ Outback has simulated shift points that you can’t get rid of. What the fuck is the point of a CVT if they are going to make it “shift”

I really don’t understand these constant comments every time a CVT is mentioned. There’s nothing soul crushing about them (if they're built right). You can argue that a manual ADDS to your experience, but acting like a car has nothing to offer with any other transmission is silly. If you aren’t rowing your own, do you

OK I didn’t watch the video because I have zero interest in helping that guy’s clicks, and you did a good job summarizing, but yeah, you were amazingly chill and empathetic, and from the beginning to the end of this post, you referred to this dude with nothing but respect and empathy, and that is hugely admirable,

our neighbors to the south who handled the first part of the pandemic like a spastic shit-throwing-monkey

Canada has absolutely fumbled it’s COVID response on the 10 yard line. Vaccine role-out has been a joke. And we’re sitting here, with new, significant, restrictions being implemented with exactly the same urgency and need as 13 months ago. It’s absurd.

More evidence that the fabled “Toyota Way” is more complex than “Just-In-Time” inventory practices.

It’s funny when people comment on Toyota’s lack of EVs as if Toyota doesn’t know what they are doing.

And like 12 Supras.

What do you know. Executives that actually look at their business made smart business decisions.

Why would you choose one over the other? THE CHARGING NETWORK! The Electrify America network which Ford claims as its own network is nowhere close to the Supercharger network and it will take years to get anywhere close to where the ever expanding SC network is today.

This comes from a guy who till 2018 never owned
