I would embrace them.

Well in fairness, referring to your two cousins as couscous probably didn't help.

I’m not crying any tears over Old Country Buffet, but it does remind me of when Sweet Tomatoes/Souplantation read the tea leaves in spring 2020 and just closed up shop for good. They weren’t my all-time favorite, but it was a good place to go with extended family to get variety while doing right by the vegetarians.

Or rescue one from the streets before they’re shuffled off to the Heavenside Layer.

Hey, we weren’t the monsters who took it from the fields, cutting off its only food and water source.

Yesterday I made the Armenian yogurt soup tanabour from Cook’s Illustrated and it has catapulted to my list of favorite soups.  Warming and creamy without being heavy.  And a good use of the barley sitting neglected in the pantry.

I had friends in college who once stole the 200 lb.+ pumpkin that was in the cafeteria as a Halloween display. Dozens of us in the dorm had a very fun time dropping it from the (2-storey) dorm roof and then smashing the remainder to bits and bits.  We considered it a victimless crime.

Presumably the owners and their immediate relatives are the only workers? I can’t imagine selling that work schedule to prospective employees.

After getting <8 kids a couple years in a row (in two different states), we decided to just nix it and go out on Halloween. COVID put a damper in that plan, but I think not many kids went out last year so we didn’t have to feel too guilty about leaving the front light off.

That’s why I only take my pretend kids to a doctor who recommends Camels.

If only he’d released an audiobook version of his latest cookbook, he’d be a shoo-in!

Well on the one hand, if you were an adult with a burger cart or food truck you’d be subject to all sorts of food safety rules, inspections, and business tax stuff.

I don’t know when the first Star Trek convention occurred, but good lordy, did those help develop a long-running and rabid fanbase.

This definitely puts a wrench in my plan to have him announce my 100th birthday that I had as a child in the 80s.

I have a soft spot for their chocolate chip cookies, especially after they heat them up.

There are several states that either have the same minimum wage for tipped workers or a higher required wage for tipped workers. Which again raises the question of where the arbitrary line is of who gets tipped. Why does one tip a restaurant worker if you’re not tipping the person who changes your oil or whatever when

“If I could give less than 1 star to this lawsuit I would.”

How is this not already a movie on the Hallmark channel?

I didn’t know that wasn’t Geena Davis in old makeup until just now!
