Well, she is advertised as a salty waitress.

When I was in 4th grade there was a boy who put mustard on his french fries (and maybe pizza?) and kids teased him, calling him the Mustard Man the rest of the school year. His family moved to Indiana after that- perhaps not related to the nickname. All the same, it made me hide my love of yellow mustard for at least…
Blech!! Even I weren’t firmly anti-Miracle Whip, that concoction has no business being in any dining establishment that doesn’t have “Family Restaurant” in its name.
As they say, there’s always money in the [Hokkaido] banana stand.
Playing hooky from work this afternoon to go to buy strawberry plants! And probably a couple blueberries.
Somewhat related- After we moved to North Dakota and registered our car, we noticed that lots of other cars also had license plates starting with JDT, as the whole ‘prefix’ must have been sent to our county to distribute. So being nerds and short of local entertainment, we started keeping a notepad in the car and…
Last spring/summer my mother-in-law kept texting me during every Costco trip with offers of picking up bulk package of disinfecting wipes, sanitizer, and paper towels. Thankfully our repeated, polite no’s were (mostly) observed. Still have 2/3 of the disinfecting wipes she brought over that make everything stink like…
What about Debbie?
“Please Mr. Cruise, may I go home now? It’s been 19 hours so far today.”
After getting my first shot yesterday, I picked up takeout sushi roll & an IPA for lunch in a random park. It wasn’t the best sushi, but having a beer in the middle of a workday made it seem more of a worthy vaccine celebration.
We did try a green chile burger at some bbq place near downtown. (Don’t remember name, but it was tasty.) We also brought back some chicos corn from the farmers market that were great later on in a pork chile verde.
We went to Santa Fe in the fall and now I’m regretting we didn’t go to a Lotaburger! Figured it was just run-of-the-mill fast food.
Downton Abbey with a Vengeance
I’m guessing they saw a chart that maybe said $450 million and then at the top it says “(in thousands)“ or something. You’re right, though, about all the other parts. Plus it was just a confusing sentence to read.
Yikes, that looks impractical. If you want to use the body one, can you store the rest of it in one piece still, or are you left with lots of parts that don’t stack? It seems like I always have at least one of these components used/dirty at any given time.
I remember eating in the Space Needle restaurant once as a child and being quite impressed. The whole thing rotates, so the view is very cool.
Take the air fryer outside- then it might feel like grilling, which is officially manly.
That’s exciting about the samples, provided they can manage the crowding and maskless people eating. Those samples employees are kinda sad right now trying promoting a product that they can’t demo. They just point to a sample that is encased in an acrylic box, which is a real disappointment for the greedy masses.
Congrats on getting the vaccine Allison! It’ll probably be another month for my bracket but that’ll give me plenty of time to buy more crystalized ginger. Does grated ginger keep its benefits/properties after being frozen/thawed? I have a big ‘ol hunk in the fridge now that needs to be eaten and I’m thinking of…
I tried this last night and it worked with criminis very well! Threw it together with some minced walnuts, sun-dried tomatoes, asparagus, and a little marinara sauce & it was surprisingly good and kind of passed as a meat spaghetti sauce. (It was a cleaning out the pantry night.)
