“Latinx” is used as a gender-neutral substitution for Latina/Latino.

Cardi B doesnt encourage women to put jade eggs up their vaginas. She doesnt support insane psuedo-science that leads to anti-vaxx idiocy for profit.

Yep. Just pass a law mandating that cat owners keep ‘em indoors. Problem solved!

I don’t know about you but if I’m running half naked through the neighbourhood fearing for my life I’m not pressing the bell, waiting 5-10 seconds and then ringing it again.. I would be pounding that bloody bell repeatedly thus squeezing those 20-30 rings into the timespan of seconds.

The one resident reported the door bell rang twenty to thirty times before they answered the door. Seems to me she waited long enough. Moving on to other neighbors infers her desperation.

Nebraska sure is an anomaly.

Fine = non-dead. Which is better than I expected from this story.

I say it easily. I rejoice in the death of any domestic abuser.

On true crime reddit forums, there was speculation she was a human trafficking victim and that explained the shackles.

20-30 Times sounds like a lot, but you have to wake up, try to figure out what you were dreaming about, realize it not a dream and someone is knocking then get yourself covered enough to feel safe answering.

Yes, I should clarify that being fine is a relative thing. Since I was expecting news of her being found dead somewhere, hearing she’s with family instead cheered me up but she'll certainly need a lot of help.

I don’t think ringing “20-30 times” is not giving enough time to answer- rather people weren’t answering because it’s the middle of the night and that’s a scary/dangerous time to be opening up the door to strangers

I don’t know about “fine”. She’s been through unimaginable trauma. She’s out of immediate danger, but she’ll probably need a lot of help, both from family & friends and professionals before she’s fine

Yes, the way she seemed to be rushing from house to house, not giving anyone time to answer before moving on made me think this was someone being pursued by a serial killer. She’s fine, he’s dead, sounds so much better that what I thought we’d hear next.

I'm guessing to show there was a prior relationship rather than a unknown kidnapper. Either way the ass hat is dead.

Why are they calling this guy her “boyfriend”??? “Alleged captor” seems more appropriate!

That’s like an 80% fresh horror movie lived in real life. She made it out!!! Oh my god, girl!!!

I don’t say this easily, but if the reporting is true, thank god he’s dead.

“This story is stranger, and sadder, than it initially appears.”

If I still lived in a place where people have a lot of guns and someone rang my doorbell like that in the middle of the night, I’d assume they were desperate for help. It is incredibly risky to get on a stranger’s property in gun nut territory, especially when the witching hour of paranoia (any time after 6pm,
