If I had to go to war I really would want to be in something super reliable. (not saying that Ford isnt).

I was unaware that anybody still stopped to help you in a car breakdown regardless of what you’re driving.

You mean one of the best looking sedans of the last decade? Yeah, pretty good lead image.

Or, they can just turn them into fastback-shaped fashion statements, like this Sonata. Better if they have a rear hatch, like the A7 and Arteon.

Hey, I’m a designer myself, but sometimes practical concerns have to win out. And they don’t have to be poorly integrated. I’m surprised more manufacturers don’t recess a bit of the bumper and hide the button under the bottom of the tailgate.

First, I don’t outright hate it, as several commenters seem to. There are elements that I don’t think are quite working, but there are also things to like about it.

My first impression was that it looks a bit like an LFA and a new NSX had a baby, but then that baby was put up for adoption and was subsequently raised by

Oh Peugeot, why must you disappoint us so...

I think you are giving it too much credit. This looks like something Cleetus made (and designed) in his spare time on his old F-Body, after a couple large rolls of fiberglass fell off the shipping truck and into his front yard.

I mean, come on...

I loved my Golf but I hated that rear badge / rear door latch / backup camera combo thing. I could never get the hang of using it without having it catch a part of my fingers when I let it go.

Yes it is. Pretty cool. I was washing it when I found it.

Good ‘ol German over-complication. There’s two motors; one flips the badge up, and then a second flips the camera up. Normally, the camera is under another floor beneath the badge, so you can open the trunk by lifting the badge, and inside is just a false floor, and the camera is hidden, so it never gets touched, and

And the Cordia

Took me a few weeks to find it on my wife’s Sonata

Some VAG products don’t have the integrated camera. My 2019 Seat Ibiza has the camera integrated into the light for the rear number plate, yet still has the badge as the boot handle. Also, some cars like the Golf estate have the boot handle in a conventional place above the number plate, along with the camera.

Look at that face - it screams “Sadly omitted”.

Please tell me that’s the only colour you could get.

Sadly omitted Mitsubishi Pistachio

I googled the Ssangyong Rodius. I thought "not too bad" before I realized that THAT PART was actually part of the car. what the fuck? did they really need to add an AWACS radome?

Here in Brazil the Chevrolet Spin, due its looks, was nicknamed as Capybara-mobile by the gearheads.
