You Aussies are insane. I just drove an XC70 1500 km and already I’ve had enough of the open road!

Most on this list are EVs or V6s? Their chronic engine issues are primarily with the Theta and Nu I4 engine families. I’m all for a good critique, but make it accurate at least.
Oh, yeah. The Taurus is Camaro-levels bad in a four-door family sedan the size of an E-Class. It’s frankly incredible how they managed to get such bad sightlines.
This is a good one. People might hate the way it looks, but I find them really interesting in person and undeniably different. More utes good!
Curious which powerplant? The 4-bangers are dismal, but for a while the V6s were solid. The direct injection systems are suspect, though...
oh, the California Corolla?
Lexus also has terrible visibility.
Exactly; everyone fakes it, but if you’re gonna do it I don’t want to notice.
California isn’t America!!1!!1!!1 <—— those people, probably.
Right, but that matters to you and I, not the average consumer. After the warranty’s up, time for a trade-in to the next cheapest Kia on the market. It’s not the durability of the car, it’s the peace of mind that as long as they maintain it if it breaks it’s not their problem.
I dunno if you’ve noticed, but most of those are easily near $5k these days, and even then with nearly 200k miles. I found an ‘01 Rav4 near me with 192k miles for $4800; an ‘03 Accord with 155k miles for $4300. Once you’ve done that, be ready for between $500 and $1000 in deferred maintenance.
They need cheap cars. What’s the alternative, a Nissan?
Probably a fleet thing, in which case days on the lot seems kind of irrelevant, like the 4500 Chevy trucks.
A year later he had to sell and buy a trailblazer
