Actually, I quite like that law. See, when a man is in front of my car waving a red flag, it generally means the driver on course before me fucked up and I will get a rerun for my troubles. I’m a big fan of reruns!

I totally agree. Rear view cameras are one of my pet peeves. Can you turn your head? Can you look into mirrors? Then fuck off with that unnecessary weight and expense that will just break and require a trip to the dealer. We already know owner satisfaction scores tend to skew because too many cars have shitty/easily

I’m told you can also pump your own gas in OR if you’re filling up a vintage car. Personally, I just fill up at home in Boise then don’t venture far enough into the state that I can’t get home on the same tank. I’ve only ventured so far as Huntington for the same reason everyone else from Idaho goes to Huntington

I have the secure and out of the way spot, just need to put up a cover. The house we’re set to get into in a few years has a super deep 3 car garage so we can stack the Fiat and MR2 in one spot and have space for the other two as well.

I’ll admit my experience is skewed since I only look at low milage clean examples. Mine was 8.5k at the auction a couple months ago with 18k miles.

Yeah, the 2 cars for 2 people is a no go for me. I have my daily and my vintage weekend cruiser plus the racecar will be moving home in a few months. The vintage one has a permanent garage spot and we usually trade the second spot between our two daily drivers. The racecar will live alongside the house under a quonset

Incorrect! I do have a kid, but I’m a minimalist so I don’t tend to carry many kid accoutrements. Just a small child seat, maybe an umbrella stroller, but that’s it. If she wants something to play with, I give her the spare set of keys to whichever car I’m not driving at the time.

Because it’s an excellent excuse for modifications!

Where you at, I’m sure all the Abarth owners who are stuck in theirs thanks to depreciation would love to sell in your area. But really, a good lower miles used ‘13 Abarth shouldn’t run you any more than 14k out the door newer years may be a bit more though

I have a ‘13 500 Abarth and a ‘82 Corvette, completely different cars but I love them both dearly. I also have a ‘87 MR2, and that was a harder purchase to make. I did it purely off a Craigslist ad and a few photos and have never sat it it, let alone driven it considering it’s currently an empty shell. Probably the

Well I’m a stay at home mom, so yeah, no commute, haha

You say “stressful,” I say “interesting,” and “excuse to modify”

I have a very strict rule that I only buy cars that make my heart sing. There are faster, nicer, cooler, whatever cars than the ones I own, but without that x factor, I wouldn’t be caught dead owning them. Sticking to this rule means I am immensely satisfied with every vehicle I own.

As an Abarth owner, I have to laugh. The Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealers are effing awwwwful. I literally would prefer to take mine to an independent shop and pay out of pocket though thank God both my Abarths have been mostly bulletproof. Alfa owners aren’t Abarth owners though, I suspect when you throw down that kind of

Actually, that’s pretty much my neighbors. I have zero complaints, they’re lovely people, keep their house neat, and don’t make noise outside socially acceptable hours. They even take care to keep the projects in the back yard so it’s not like car corpses are just laying around.

Nah, I race way more than him, I’m definitely the better driver.

I tend to leave my Vette at home for car events and take the 500 Abarth instead. Oh joy, another C3, whoop-de-doo. Bringing the Fiat actually makes things a bit interesting! Though no matter what I bring I will always be in a minority by not being an old white guy.

Admittedly more in daylight, but honestly, 65 on a mountain road isn’t that crazy. The hardest part is getting a clear shot at it. It’s heaven when you get the chance either in the very early morning or in competition when the road is closed. I do hillclimbs, they’re my favorite thing in the world, so twisty mountain

As someone who has only ever lived in mountainous places, I’m gonna give that a resounding meh.

The genre is rooted in Italo Disco, hence the euro part. Just as much Italo doesn’t come from Italy, eurobeat doesn’t necessarily mean European, haha
