That’s pretty much the rule for my kiddo. If she wants to race, she has the support of 3 generations of racing in the family, but all on closed courses. I almost feel bad for her since there’s something of an expectation for her to race

Hey Dodge, there’s these people you can sometimes find who do this thing called “engraving.” Take basically any peice of metal to them and they’ll put your name on it. Plaque=/=difficult

I am not a petroleum engineer or geologist, so I’m not sure on the feasibility of your idea, but I’m pretty sure even with the might of oil companies behind the idea, it still wouldn’t be cost effective. Also, the compression involved requires way, way more force than a hydraulic press offers. I’m sure we have the

One of my plates is the Idaho Corvette plate and that one gives money to children’s charities, so fight me bro. That one is just regular ol’ 2515M. The other is a normal Idaho plate but says SLTHRN. It’s not an in joke or clever, I am just proud to be a Slytherin. The in-joke came after I got the plate and it was

It takes a long time for dead things to become petroleum. If we want to figure out a way to make Soylent Gas, that’s cool with me, but our consumption is currently outstripping the measured-in-geologic-time it takes to turn plant and animal matter into go juice.

No, I’m saying that they should be willing to look at all options for the future. We know that will eventually involve having to step away from oil, so exploring technologies and building the groundwork while building traditional vehicles is simply being prudent.

Ugh, poor kid. I was really hoping that wouldn’t be the outcome when I saw the original article.

Maybe now people will start buying Fiat 500s, haha

Considering it’s a finite resource...um, yes.

I adore both of mine. I love my Vette as my mechanical soul mate, but for sound, my Abarth takes the cake. I love the baby supercar roar. Speaking of resonant frequency, I had it on a dyno recently and at about 4k the sound made the whole building ring like a bell and shook the concrete! I never imagined a tiny roller

I have a modern 4 banger and a malaise V8, they put out just about the same power and my 4 banger was faster down the drag strip with a stiff headwind than my V8 was in a light breeze. They both sound nice in their own ways though and when you get them going together (4 cyl is occasionally the jump partner to the V8)

That...is a special kind of horrifying. Poor kid!

There’s a drum and bugle corps doing the opening of the Bahrain GP, I feel like they could do some fun noises.

I dig it! We always think of BMW art cars, this is just a little different, more proletariat. I would have happily taken my keys to it to add a little. It kinda makes me want to do something interesting to my own car

I’m an FCA person too and while he is good for a laugh, he needs to chill. All the big work is done and we all know he’s headed for retirement in a couple years. He needs to make sure the ship is steady and running smooth then start gracefully heading for the door.

We all have those bizarre things we cling to in life. Some people love terrible football teams, still others enjoy flaccid Taco Bell burritos. I am no saint myself, I worship at the altar of Fiat. Dom just has a thing for Coronas.

Blue Knights are playing the opening ceremony, he’s just watching them practice.

They’re polyester, so yes, a fire would be very serious, haha

Full disclosure: I don’t own a 2017 Cadillac ATS-V or CTS-V, so Cadillac spent $390.95 on a roundtrip flight for me and at least $2,530 on tuition for the non-owner, two-day program. On top of that, Cadillac also loaned me a fully optioned-out CT6 Platinum during my stay and bought be dinner. Twice
