WHAT!? EGR DIDN’T REDUCE NOX!?

What about cars that only need an oil change once per year?

Breaking News! A Telecom Company Is Screwing People! And It Isn’t Comcast!

What’s with all the 140 love around these parts lately? I promise you it doesn’t deserve it.

No I will not pay thirteen-freaking-grand for the worst S-class chassis just so I can shell out that same number in the next year on parts.

I believe the point is to generate power and translate said power into motion. I mean, I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure that’s the point of all engines and transmissions used in passenger vehicles.

Huh. So that’s what happened to Eleven.

Nope. Benz isn’t doing that. I think they may start to, but to my knowledge no current production Mercedes has such a “feature".

The AMG engineers I’ve spoken to said this is very difficult to overcome. I agree with you, but think they still did a fantastic job of it. 99% of “normal” people I’ve talked to can’t tell it’s a turbo motor by sound.

If I know my AMG engines (sure hope so!) that definitely sounds like the M178.

SHOCKING NEWS! DISNEY TIP-TOES AROUND ISSUE!

Looks pretty straight forward to be honest. Nothing revolutionary here, just 50% more of what is already in a dual clutch.

My ‘01 E55 is worth $7800 according to KBB. But screw ‘em. It’s worth so much more to me. Probably gets more comments than a newer AMG too to be honest.

Mercedes engines are actually, generally, excellent. Biggest problem, balance shafts on 06 and early 07 V6 M272's, and early 07 V8 M273's. Next, head bolts, cams, lifters on first couple years of M156's. Then timing chains on 10-11 diesels. All of which can be chalked up to parts supplier screw ups, not design faults.

A209 CLK non-AMG

One of my best friends in high school had 3. One gold, identical to the pictured one, a red one, and I don’t remember the last one. Paid under $1,000 total for all three if memory serves. All ran and drove. One was very rough mechanically, red was very rusty, and gold was absolutely cherry (for a while).

Definitely. But to my knowledge it was never used in an S-class. Just SL, E, Maybach during the early-mid 00's.

No bluetec 220. W/V220 S350 used the M112 3.7L gas engine. Excellent engine family.

It is the same (m112, not m272, so usually matches up with 320 models), just slightly larger displacement. Dude’s on crack.
