Forgive me for not knowing the culture (or lack thereof) of the United States, but I believe true Americans only drive automatics

I’m in a similar position and I drive a classic mini myself. They only came with 2 doors and my chair goes on the back seat. It’s got a surprising amount of space everywhere actually.

Of course Harry has fast cars. If you fly apache helicopters as your day job for that many years, you’ll get a taste for it.

Everything here rusts eventually, it’s just a matter of when. In the winter they dump salt and grit all over the roads. The salt speeds up all of the corrosion, the grit gets kicked up and chips the paint that is your final barrier between the steel and the outside air.

I don’t know if you’ve ever seen under the bonnet of a proper Mini, but they put ALL the electrics right at the front, just behind the grill.

You should try owning anything made in the UK... I don’t even do oil changes, I just do constant top ups... ;)

Mini should be written “Mini” because that’s how words work, logos can do whatever they want.

I completely agree, though I’d say that it’s less common than it should be, people tend to stick with forums for their own car and don’t venture too far from there. That’s what I love about this site though.

Why would you ever want to get rid of that thing?! The colour alone is grounds to keep it forever!

As with any place, car prices drop then slowly climb but we have less market for our old cars outside of the U.K. because they’re right hand drive (steering wheel side, that is).

You’re probably right, there’s very little chance that they will listen to anyone.

I’d agree but BMW’s track record with roadsters is questionable and with retro cars it’s downright abysmal.

If they can make the car half decent to drive AND look good, I’ll be happy. As will many others I imagine.
