It’s a bit offensive to me that you’d think I’d make a story up like that. For what end? To get your approval?

A guy once stood up for me in college; I was taking a bus and throughout the ride, a bunch of non-students kept staring at me. When I got off, they followed me, surrounded me, and started shoving.
