People that buy this car will not campaign it, race it, or care about the mentioned racing series. How many people do you know that watched the Le Mans or the American Le Mans series and actually know what the classes are and who the winners were.

It is all about racing. The turbo 6 will give it an edge when it comes to competing in LeMans and other sports car series. I would have loved to see the 5.2 flat plane V8 in it just for noise sake. But I can't argue with the power it is going to be making.

Then use a V6 for that series and then use a V8 for Le Mans and everything else. The C7R will be at those races with its V8s and it does just fine.

Racing pedigree or not, it's still a V6 super car - something that should be sold by Lotus or Nobel.
