I think part of the problem though, is that it falls in line with Incels or MAGA people: This sucks, these people are the worst, but we also gotta acknowledge that there is an underlying environmental reason behind it.

And if we don’t actually find a solution to that environmental cause(likely isolation/trauma/etc), I

*SPOILERS?*

Good way to describe this dynamic with consumers/creators:

This looks like it solves all of my current problems with vaping. I have numerous vaporizers, from Pax to my Arizer Solo 2, and the same issues arise. As mentioned in the article, the fact that packing and reloading on the go is stupid messy and hassle prone. I’ve also had issues with my herb tasting like burnt

Oh, I thought maybe it was Lindsey Ellis.  Seemed to fall within her reach and she knows aaaall about the toxic response of online culture

Would be interested in seeing her video. The whole Antiship wars thing is absurd and seems to just have gotten worse over time. It used to be “I don’t like this fictional pairing because it’s out of character,” now it’s “supporting this fictional pairing makes you the moral equivalent to a child molester, somehow.”

Or at least, ‘fandom that’s inherently insular breeds toxicity the way that a physical community that’s inherently insular breeds xenophobia’.

a semi-popular youtuber made a video essay on the world of shipping/anti fanculture and had to preemptively delete her twitter account because she knew she would receive abuse for it.

As someone who knows nothing about Tumblr, and very little about Boyfriend Dungeon, I find a lot of the (well-put!) discussion in this piece pretty broadly applicable across social media as a whole, whether that’s ‘social media lets people build communities’ or ‘social media acts as an echo chamber’ or ‘social media

I haven’t waded into the discourse but most of what I’ve seen show up in my social media feeds has been people who misinterpreted how much the content listed in the warning was present in the main story path.

This game may include references to unwanted advances, stalking, and other forms of emotional manipulation. Play with care.

I read it more as “Original content warning underplayed how central the more difficult themes were to the story, and most people are asking for an updated content warning explaining that those themes are a central part of the main story, since the game is marketed as a mostly-lighthearted romp. A few people want the

So, the content warning accurately reflects the game's content, but people made bad assumptions about that warning and are now mad at the dev and want the dev change the game itself?

Now for the bad news.

You also had to have the right thickness for the PS4 HDD upgrade. If it was more than 9.5mm or something like that, it just wouldn’t fit and it’s the same here.

so you’re telling me that the PS3 and 4 asked me to find a combination of SSD and heatsink that has 2.45mm below the circuit board and 8mm above the circuit board?

Your condescension is noted and appreciated! 🙃

this is like the only correct response to this shit. i don’t want to build a machine, i want to play one.

I built a PC just before summer and I hate the idea of taking apart my PS5 to add extra storage. I realize that “taking apart” in this sense is no where near equivalent to what it means for an actual PC. It is pretty trivial but this is a console here. To me, it seems like a lot of effort for a console.

I’m sure there are lots of folks who are comfortable opening up their electronics or fiddling with their gaming PC that look at this and think it’s easy as pie. If so, good for you folks for picking up those skills!
