I vividly remember a lively classroom discussion in 1995/1996 about how the internet was going to unite the world like never before(!). No more war, ever, because we could engage and empathize with citizens of other countries in real time. Propaganda? GONE. We’d have broad access to high-quality information and data.

Like I said, people should be able to talk about these things sensibly, especially in an outlet that’s designed to cater to that discussion. Most don’t unfortunately and I’m definitely exhausted by it as well, but you won’t fix outrage by shutting down discussion. The problem, however, goes far beyond discussing

Cate Blanchett will win her 3rd Oscar but the question remains: Is she a good actress or simply tall?

truth. the internet has really become a place of polarity: either you seek out content that agrees with you completely, or disagrees with you completely. I’ve fallen victim to finding stuff I either love or hate, and leaving comments that reflect these POVs

Social media murder-death-killed all journalism. More people will click on stories about dumb shit they’ve seen before than investigative or informational reporting.

I’m tired of outrage culture for sure, but I see no problem with pointing out bad stuff bad. This rain looks awful. As the article mentions, I’m sure that Youtube compression doesn’t help anything, but you can find plenty of examples on Youtube of games with far better looking rain, so most likely this is just bad

Gaming culture has become where the smallest most inconsequential bullshit is analyzed to death and cause for panic and outrage. It’s getting to the point where I’m not enjoying reading gaming news.

You are correct.

Oh my god the internet was a mistake

I’m trying to a find a review of someone who has not played the original games. All they do is compare them.

I was thinking that as well. Also it seemed as though the reviewer had seen several playthroughs of the original (or speedruns) on Youtube, and basically knew everything about it except how it felt to play.
She spoils the story, the secret behind the mystery that makes the first half scary. And also Nicole.. Kinda

They definitely should have had a spoiler warning, at least.

I’m legitimately curious about something. What is the statute of limitations for a spoiler on a 15 year old game?

Opening blood rave scene in Blade more memorable than 80% the Phase 2 on on Marvel flicks. Maybe more.

You know, I cannot wait until Elon Musk finally kills Twitter for good, just so that I can stop seeing articles about what some randos on twitter said.

Didn’t Olivia Wilde cheat on Jason Sudeikis with Harry Styles, her work subordinate

Sounds like the AI might take jobs away from real, hardworking assholes.

A football team has attackers and defenders. To claim an attacker is the best player of all time is downright stupid. Defence is more important than attack. You get at least 1 point if your attack is garbage and your defence holds up. If your attack is on fire and score 15 and your defence is garbage and let in 16 you

So you paid for pussy?

Sub-Zero: “Cool your expectations.”
Scorpion: “Get over it.”
Mileena: “This bites.”
Kitana: “I’m not a fan of this.”
Sindel: “I could scream.”
Johnny Cage: “What a punch to the balls.”
Raiden: “Shocking.”
Liu Kang: “ *unintelligible turkey noises*”
