I sadly don't have a picture, but one day last summer while cycling a Porsche 959 flew by me. My neck snapped so fast I almost fell off the bike. I mean, how many of those were ever imported?

I have a proposition for you. Buy my 2007 WRX wagon for $10k, and then I will take the 10k, put it down for a 2015 sedan, and everyone's happy!
I believe that movie was based (loosely, from what it looks like) on the John Varley novel of the same name. The novel is about time travelers stealing people off of planes before they crash...it was not the best choice of reading material on my flight from Boston to Houston.
Ultimately suspension tuning is a little bit of a black art, with the stiffness of the front sway bar, rear sway bar and your springs acting in concert to transfer weight where it needs to go. The best way to figure out what upgrade will help most is to get on an enthusiast forum and read. Even if you don't intend to…
No, it isn't at all. Upsizing (or installing one where there was none) your front and rear anti-roll bars can have significant improvement on suspension behavior mid-corner, resulting in better ultimate grip (and in some cases, a shift in handling characteristics from undesirable understeering to more neutral or even…
I own a WRX now, and yes, it is less reliable than a Civic or Corolla. However, it isn't unreliable. Every issue I had with my car was due to modifications, excepting possibly a valve cover gasket issue that is developing now (first problem I've had with the car rather than a mod, at 140,000 miles).
Everything was sounding peachy until it was announced that the STI would retain the EJ257 from the outgoing model. As if a thousand ringlands cried out, and then were silenced...
I definitely feel you on the spark plugs. Only the Subaru has required a dealer visit for spark plugs...and my last car was a Pontiac Bonneville (the rear bank of a transverse V6 is its own special kind of hell).
I would think that when put off by bad repair experiences, a move to a VW may not be ideal.
I'd like to point out the FWD Juke weighs less than 3,000 pounds. Not FR-S or Fiesta ST territory, but this is interesting.

The 2012 Impreza was between 150 and 200 lbs lighter than the 2011. It would stand to reason that a similar weight reduction would be had between the 2015 WRX and the previous version.
It's just supply and demand. Anyone who could pay for a used Aston would rather buy something new, so they decline in price until that's no longer true. Anyone who wants a used WRX has nothing worthwhile new in their price range...I mean, you could cross-shop my car with a Sonic, I suppose...
People are paying the ridiculous prices, though. Shortly after I had my 120,000 mile service done at a dealer, I received one of those "we want your trade-in" letters from the same dealer...$13,500 for a 120,000 mile 2007 WRX wagon. I paid $14k for the car two years prior.
Massachusetts resident here. The law is a lot simpler than that mathematical equation, it's no more than two inches of height alteration, in either direction: https://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLa…
I was offered 13,500 for my 2007 WRX by my local dealer this past summer. This was after the dealer had done my 120,000 mile service, mind you.
Well written, but you just soared above the 8th grade reading level CNN was aiming for, sadly.
I've had my WRX for 2 years, and would like to keep it until it hits 200,000 miles, or probably another 4 years with my driving habits. That seems like a tall order for a car that's fairly modified, but the compression is still good and it runs like a top...I figure as long as I don't track it and keep up with the…
As someone needed to deliberately make their truck that horrific, I think it's statistically impossible to find a driver of one who isn't an asshole. Hence, it's not a car that isn't just for assholes.
It's OK, most people here haven't ever seen a Casbah, let alone rocked one.
