Thank you for sticking up for mermaids like myself. We may have made a deal with an evil sea witch but that doesn't mean we should be voiceless.

But in your first comment you painted yourself as just a poor, desperate parent working the only job available to you and still barely making ends meet. You should’ve stuck with that, it was much more sympathetic.
Whoa, really? I didn't get that at all when I had my septum repaired (and some bone spurs removed from inside my nose). Which either means I have a perfect nose or I need to go thank my ENT for having some ethical standards, because I'm dysmorphic enough that if he'd offered, I might have gone for it.
Does the Revlon balm stain last a pretty long time? I've had disappointing results with other drugstore stains but I love the concept.
Or you could consider the possibility that doing the makeup is PART OF the fun? Like maybe it's for the benefit of the person wearing the makeup and not for you?
I wasn't sure about this idea, but the director of Newsies can do no wrong in my book.
This is gonna sound like a joke or trolling, but Dove's sensitive skin bar is my fave. I had to use it for a rosacea research study once, and just in switching from my regular crap to Dove sensitive a week before it started, my redness cleared up so much I barely qualified for the trial anymore. I had to switch to…
God, that's even more of a hassle than the 6 or so medication bottles I have to travel with. Just one of the reasons I rarely bother to travel anymore. I used to love it, but now it's just so stressful and painful (which isn't the TSA's fault of course — it's my chronic illnesses' fault).
Hey, you’re not an oddball. Or maybe you are but so am I, so at least you’re not alone? <3
And free stuff. I am always happy to accept free stuff, no matter how useless. (Which is why I have a box or two full of homeopathic crap in my garage — I considered donating it but I'd feel guilty giving fake medicine to people in need.)
Agreed, but just a reminder that sometimes acne treatment IS medically necessary. Technically in my case it was rosacea too, and it was much worse than the pictures in this article, but I was suffering pretty severely. Not just because it looked bad (lol I was beyond caring about that part) but because the breakouts…
Just thought I'd chime in — my skin is so terrible that extracting clogged pores can give me pretty bad breakouts and even scars the next day. But I recently got this glycolic acid cleanser from Dermadoctor, left it on a few minutes before rinsing, then did my pores afterward — and all the gunk came out SO EASILY and…
Sorry, the part I meant to quote from the "travel tips" article was this: "The quantity of all medications you bring through the checkpoint should be reasonable for the length of the flight or travel period." Again, though, not from an official government source — just the kind of thing that can make someone like me…
It looks like the TSA (which I think is what I meant rather than the FAA) allows unlimited quantities of medication now, even liquids as long as you declare them at security. They don't even need to be in their original bottles for the TSA, but they do say some states may require that. Any "travel tips" you find online
WHAT? How did I not watch this? I loved the terrible Clueless TV show.
It's interesting — I've had multiple chronic illnesses for 10+ years and never been asked to show "fit to fly" documentation, so I can see how someone might not realize they could be asked for it. (I had done enough research to realize it was a possibility, although I mostly was concerned about being asked to prove my…
I agree, I can understand both sides of this too. I just wanted to bring up one point about why getting stranded overnight can be more than a minor inconvenience for people with medical issues: the airlines, the FAA, customs, etc all tell us not to take more medication with us than we will need for the exact duration…
That’s interesting because I interpreted as being similar to when I show people my scuba photos and say I wish I could be a mermaid all the time. But then I can’t imagine having to delete my mermaid comments & dive photos afterward, so I’m probably wrong. Thanks for explaining. :)
I think you may be misinterpreting jifaner13’s response — or maybe I’m the one doing that. But I’ll offer my perspective: I enjoy reading fact-based political & social commentary. I enjoy discussing issues (as) calmly & rationally (as possible when these are high stakes, emotionally charged subjects for all of us)…
Oh god, when I went back to college I anxiety-puked into the trash can in my very first class of the day. The professor was kind enough to let me go to the nurse’s office for the rest of the period and come back during my free time the next day to sit in on another section of the same class.
