I can’t imagine how anyone who considers Ghostbusters to be their favorite franchise would look at Paul Feig’s body of work and deem him a worthy successor to Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd.

Paul Feig is marginally better than Adam Sandler, but his filmography mostly consists of Melissa McCarthy vehicles that could have just as easily been Paul Blart-esque Kevin James vehicles if they were made a few years earlier.

Jason Reitman literally grew up on the sets of the original movies, is a huge fan, and has relationships with the people who worked on them. It’s an extremely personal project for him, carrying on the legacy of his father. You don’t see how a director with that sort of passion and familiarity would benefit a sequel to

The original is a beloved classic comedy/horror movie that was hugely influential. Don’t try to rewrite history to paint the mediocre new Ghostbusters as anything other than “another Paul Feig comedy” with a legacy brand slapped on it.

Paul Feig was absolutely the wrong person to write/direct a Ghostbusters movie. An assload of improvised dialogue is no replacement for a cleverly written script. That hack doesn’t hold a candle to Harold Ramis, RIP, and Dan Aykroyd is a fucking nutjob, so good luck matching his creativity.

I mean, it’s what it would look like if it were a Mother game. If it had been made back in the GBA days it would probably have wound up looking more like DemiKids. Unfortunately.

A punch to the face actually isn’t that audible, so I’m pretty confident that it was a slap or maybe a backhand. Might have punched her during the second altercation. Not that it really makes a difference.

TBH the kid should probably be removed from the home and they should both go to some court-mandated counseling. I watched the video and it was very much a “takes two to tango” scenario. We’ve all seen these kinds of couples. They were both engaging in verbally and physically abusive behavior and weren’t paying an

Pro level Overwatch consists of a relatively small international community of about 500 top ranked grandmaster players who are constantly competing against each other on the same ranked ladder. The higher ranked a player becomes the higher profile they become, and at the highest levels everyone tends to know each

You mean the two jokes out of the leaked 45 minute set? That joke in particular felt a bit dated but he’s working new material. I preferred the connected bit about young people these days not being interesting and not having much life experience, but still judging others and dictating how they should behave.

Chris Rock was CK’s mentor. Louis was the head writer for his HBO series, for fuck sake.

CK is Jewish-Irish and was born and raised in Mexico until his parents divorced and his mom moved to Boston. And no, CK is absolutely not racist, he spent like a decade writing for provocative African American television shows before he became a successful stand-up. Chris Rock was literally his mentor and career adviso

Louis CK, who is actually a Jewish-Irish Mexican, was head writer on Chris Rock’s show for years before he broke out as a stand-up comedian. He considered Rock to be his mentor and career advisor. He also wrote for Cedric the Entertainer’s show, which had a room of half black and half white writers and involved lots of

Ironically FFBE is more in line with the old Square RPGs than pretty much any game they put out in the last decade. Great music and art (including a lot by Yoshitaka Amano), depthful combat systems, actual exploration of towns and dungeons, melodramatic story unravelled over episodes. Only downside is the gacha, but

It was apparently designed by Kazuko Shibuya, pixel artist for FF1-6.

I’m inclined to believe that Patheos went digging for skeletons and this is just what they managed to unearth, spinning it to suit their hit piece.

It has literally been less than 48 hours since the initial report, and less than a day since the report was picked up by mainstream outlets. Taking a day to contact the people who employ him, PR, lawyer, etc., and draft and post a detailed statement, is surely preferable to responding to dozens of random tweets.

It’s been less than 48 hours since the accusation was initially made and he’s already posted a lengthy statement addressing it. Get a fucking grip. The guy has a responsibility to his employers, colleagues, etc. to handle this professionally, not just banter about it with dozens or hundreds of random people on

Given the source of the initial reporting and the nature of the reported allegations (which come across as, at worst, awkward interactions) I’m gonna say it warrants healthy skepticism. Especially since he’s welcoming the investigation.

The fact that the story is originating from patheos is reason enough to be skeptical.
