There should be Christmas cards with her face and quotes from her testimony that thousands of people mail to Chuck Grassley to haunt the hell out of him. He needs visits from the ghosts of confirmations past.

She is a hero. And she was treated horribly by the Senate GOP who cared more about a “win” than whether they  were confirming a liar and sexual assaulter to the Supreme court.

It was infuriating. If you don’t believe her, or don’t find it convenient to believe her, just say it. This “I think she was assaulted, but she doesn’t remember who did it” is bizarre and awful.

Put her in the history books along with Anita Hill who faced a bunch of senators who questioned her character, along with public humiliation, in the name of doing what was right. You ladies deserve better.

Even though he was ultimately sworn in, I do think she helped change the fabric of our society and I am so grateful to her for her courage and also providing this update. I hope that once this settles, she is able to find joy and happiness in how much of an effect she has had on so many people. 

I love her so much. 

The way she was treated by Senate Republicans is a disgrace through and through, but that aspect of it really pissed me off. Fuck you Susan Collins, women know who they were assaulted by. It was so condescending and shitty.

Dr Christine Blasey-Ford is going to go into the history books as a courageous and honourable American hero. Her bravery as she faced those powerful, heartless, corrupt politicians and spoke the truth to the nation was remarkable. What an amazing human being. She deserves all the peace in the world.

I have so much respect and admiration for her. <3

She’s a hero who demonstrated tremendous moral courage. Senate Republicans who have proposed that she doesn’t even know who assaulted her are pathetic.

Some important points. 1) Being anti-vax is a choice. 2) It endangers the lives of the innocent. 3) It’s built on a pack of debunked lies.

I feel like “don’t chop off pieces of people who can’t consent” is a generally good policy.

That’s why I have zero sympathy for missionaries. Why not focus on the mess at home instead of using your religion to make the lives of others miserable?

There was just so much in this story that infuriated me, not the least of which he had absolutely no concern for the natives that he risked killing them all to teach them Jesus. Let alone breaking the law. Or the fact that no one there probably cares.

It amazes me that there’s people in 2018 who think “missionary” is a worthwhile use of their time. Especially with the ease with which you can study the history of missionaries fucking things up around the world.

Or, all religions just shut the fuck up, period. NO law or activity should be banned or allowed based on ANY religion. If you impact someone else (remember habeus corpus?) then it should be null and void, period. Whether it’s barring FGM or barring abortions... the law should have NO SAY in matters of ANYONE ELSE’S…

How about all religions just shut the fuck up about mutilating the genitals of ALL children?
