Mariner and Jadzia Dax could talk about traveling back to the TOS era only to be surprised at how attractive young Spock is.

I’m prone to agree with a lot of this. Obviously the ship has sailed - and whole the cast is wonderful. But I do wish the producers would’ve been willing/able to use more original characters. Like you said, the ones we have are amazing, and it’d be great to see more of that than being overly hung-up on legacy.
THAT WAS SO CREEPY!!!
THAT. WAS. AWESOME.
So I’m taking this as canon that everyone on Lower Decks is just drunk all the time.
Disagree.
At 1:05, Shax and Ransom are wearing the weird Crusher/Troi backwards yoga outfits!!!
This looks amazing. And I don’t even like musicals! But I love this show for taking such a crazy, big risk, and I have full faith it will be a treat.
His ability to commit in full earnestness to a character where the joke is almost perpetually at his expense cannot be overstated.
It was fabulous. Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie are a dream director-lead actor pairing.
My most anticipated post-Endgame MCU film was Spider-man 3?
In fact, I’d go so far as to say Kirk’s presence hinders the development of the Pike/Spock bond.
I don’t know what you mean ‘for no reason.’ It is totally professional for a woman about to go on a mission to strip down to her literal underwear in front of a superior officer.
No it doesn’t. It literally doesn’t. There is literally nothing that demands Kirk’s presence.
I don’t think it’s nitpicking at all. Kirk is not just one of the most iconic Star Trek characters period, but also in pop culture. Anytime he’s on-screen, it demands taking up a lot of time and attention. Even using him in a more supporting capacity - there’s material in this episode they could’ve just as comfortably…
I know it’s too probably much to hope for...but I really wish there was a happy middle ground that veered closer to the broadcast network model. One where we had more episodes, shorter runtimes, and could space airing out throughout the year.
Yes! This is easily my most anticipated MCU film post-Endgame and this looks amazing in so many ways.
The fact that we’ve spent more time with Kirk more than regular cast members (like Pike and Ortegas) is extremely troubling to me.
I AM ABOLUSTELY GIDDY about next week’s episode.
