The overall outline and especially rear 3/4 is still very similar. I do not see anything mid-engined looking about the car. It’s classic coke bottle, long hood RWD grand tourer

the thing is that even the base Minis are fun which is something you can’t say as much for a Golf or Mazda3. I currently drive a 535 but had a BLAST when I test drove a base 3-cyl Mini with stick a few years ago.

this is dumb....there should just be a gas guzzler/pollution tax equal to the environmental damage of one car on the buyers’ side, not manufacturers’. I wonder what the price bump would be to offset these penalties and still sell them

no one hates them when they see them being used with the bed full. Around GA, I see maybe 5 pickups for every 100 with the bed being used. The rest of the time they are slow to move and block the forward visibility of all cars behind them with normal ride heights

there’s also no real point in sports or performance cars but we buy them anyway right? Considering this is the “enthusiast” model I’d say they’re missing out on a good chunk of customers who would otherwise buy this over a Golf R or Focus RS

the front wheel drive is only a little more offensive than the horrible rear visibility. Back seat passengers will get a little more light than they would in a Camaro
