Unless you Fear for your Life you don’t get to shoot someone. The guy was under the truck. Can’t justify shooting. Also, can’t shoot to defend an animal. If someone is attaching my dog with a knife I’m probably going to go off. But there’s a strong probability it will be ruled a bad shoot.

I hear what you are saying, and you are certainly not wrong.
I did this trip for my own personal enjoyment, where-as a lot of locals are just trying to get by.
I have to say the longer I was in Africa the more I connected with the people, and they were always shocked when I would jump out in knee deep mud to help push

Why the need for this masturbatory moralization of comparing the western traveler to the locals?  Why is it a “vanity project?”  Sounds like the guy just wanted to have the adventure of a lifetime and to see the world, and worked/saved/planned and executed on that dream.

A manual fore/aft lever, even if the rest of the seat controls are electric.

I feel like this is aimed at young, outdoorsy subaru drivers. They like capability and seating for 4 and they want a place to put their wet, muddy gear without driving a full blown truck. The question becomes, will they leave their outbacks and crosstreks? If they can’t get awd in the hybrid, I doubt it.

David, you’re about to make another terrible mistake! That PCM is for a V6!

I’ve got a theory that because people keep cars longer (combination of stagnating wages, vehicles being better/more reliable) people want them to fit their lifestyle longer. The regular cab pickup is dead because who wants to be tied to that for ~10 years if you might have a kid three years from now?

You can still get a two door Taco with a manual.

the onion should just do actual news for a few weeks and see if anyone notices the difference.

Replacing their wiper blades. I see so many cars around here with the wiper blades peeling apart, barely able to remove water from the window.

The general reasoning seems to be that you can always tow a trailer to haul more gear/equipment/materials, but you can’t do that to carry more people.

Unless Americans go back to single person contractors going alone to work with little or no tools and commercial vans disappear, the regular cab is never coming back. Even for work trucks, if you ever need to bring a crew, the crew cab was named for it. And almost all work trucks I see use the rear for tool storage

The question isn’t why they used a meter meant for a house, but why they used a meter at all? Where in the system was the meter located? Was it between the charger and battery or between the battery and motor? What was anyone supposed to do with that information?

I’ve got it! The one application where this car is worth this money.

As the wheel is still on technically they still haven’t finished the pitstop.

I think a PHEV is the answer. It's kinda the only viable option right now.

Everything works except the AC? That’s all you need to know.

As a man who has had periods in his life when the AC was broken, let me tell you exactly what that means: “I am so poor, I cannot maintain this car. I have let every piece of this car wear out, even the parts that separate man from beast. The tires are worn

$7000 seems a little much, but it is a LandCruiser, so it may be a fair price. If these things follow the trends in other Cruisers, a little bit of elbow grease and new upholstery could net you a few bucks profit down the road.

Marketing Team Leader: “Seriously? No one else? Yes, I know that Jalopnik weirdo came. Of course he came."

I want it just to give my HOA seizures
