I like your answer. I’m mostly just curious about how people would tend to value such things. The “pay-it forward” thing is a nice idea.

In the past, I’ve considered doing it for free. Probably not possible now, due to autoimmune illness (and who would want my old alcoholic kidney anyway), but I’m still not sure I could accept money for it. Although I wonder if this isn’t an extreme example of me trying to live up to an expectation of womanly altruism.
