I wonder if the update was done for a more efficient use of GPU VRAM so it uses less and forgot to enable Ray Tracing for it.

This very question was answered and explained on the Pokemon leak article where the two settled.

Jack Black has loved Nintendo for quite some time now

I think Nintendo posting new videos of BOTW means they’re going along with a lot of people who are back into playing BOTW and being active on the game while they wait for TOTK to release.  So Nintendo releases a video of someone playing or making a MEME to be part of those active players.  But obviously, you take this

If anything, the Switch is the primary console and the heavy graphics living room consoles are the secondary.  The free time and attention for entertainment is just so easy with the Switch since you can literally play it anywhere (including while being on the toilet, or being a parent) just edges out the living

LOL. This comment just made my day XD

I don’t know. The characters look to be more like Voltron characters to me.

Sure, but the studio behind it was too busy with Elden Ring to remaster Bloodborne

They are probably working on bringing a lot of those PSX classics to the Switch.  I would expect Xenogears to come along too. and maybe the Parasite Eve games.

When the dominant platform is a Nintendo system and third parties are making buck releasing games for it.  Square couldn’t ignore this any longer and has decided to capitalize on it by porting many of their games releases for Sony consoles/portables.  They’re getting more sales and $$$ out of it, so why not?  People

I actually didn’t love R4 as much as Rage Racer. I was mostly a grip player but R4 really did the drifting well, even if it was odd in some ways when spinning out and playing unrealistically. It was a fun game and the campaign mode plus the music is where R4 really stood out. I bought the soundtrack when it released.

Some of these games are in Linux. I would think some of those would run easily on the Steam Deck

You should try Turtles in Time. It’s a fun arcade beat em up game.  They’re about to release a new TMNT game in the same play style.  I’ve seen a guy who finished the original TMNT NES the same way and at least twice. it wasn’t fun to play the game and you really have to have it planned by banking on scrolls like you

OH for sure! wasn’t saying the sequel is just all DLC.  the point I was making is, BOTW2 was given birth by the devs having so many DLC ideas for BOTW1.

Ugh. That must have hurt at the time.  I myself wasn’t affected because I couldn’t even afford an SNES >_<.  It was pure bliss once I got one though.  16 bit sequels of Zelda, Mario, Gradius, Turtles and Contra

I would think it isn’t as much work as starting from scratch.  BOTW 2 is literally a huge DLC that turned into a sequel game instead. They’re reusing assets like most of the monsters and the whole overworld map.  If they were to make more cut scenes and add huge dungeons while keeping the same (but slightly altered)

But this isn’t just a chip shortage. it’s also in combination of super high demand because of people being stuck at home more often than before. All hobbies have gone up in equipment/parts price because of the higher demand. Even if there are more chips made, the high demand may keep the amount of commodity items
