I think it’s a really good middle ground between the two. and I’m saying that as someone who also really likes the older, super poppy stuff. I like Rainbow a lot, especially since I think it got people who had only listened to a couple of her singles to recognize her as a musician, but I’m always going to prefer super

Catcher in the Rye felt like whiny teenage nonsense to me when I read it as a whiny teenager. I can’t imagine that my adult eyes would look on it much more favorably.

There’s a moment in Pitch Perfect where Skylar Astin says “I’m full of fun facts”, and Anna Kendrick responds “You should let other people tell you’re they’re fun”.

If three different artists are claiming it to be similar enough to be stolen, then isn’t that kind of an indication that it’s just not a super original premise/tune?

Yeah, I made this mistake at an ikea exactly once. The “oh shit” moment of realizing that I definitely wouldn’t have the space to load the bookshelves I was buying into the car through the trunk taught me quickly that this only works at some stores.

After going bra shopping this weekend because the last good bra I own is a few deep breaths from giving up the ghost, I can’t think of anything worse than boob molds.

nah, it wasn’t like, 19 fridges in one room. they just had one every couple of rooms, so that you wouldn’t have to go too far for cold drinks and such, since it was a really big house.

I think normal sized family, though most of the time we wouldn’t get the name of the clients for privacy reasons. Mostly drink fridges I believe. When you have a staff that’s in charge of keeping things stocked, it doesn’t seem like a hassle I guess.

Yeah, I’m a consulting electrical engineer who used to do high end residential. I once worked on a house that had NINETEEN refrigerators. But I never did one with a walk-in, that was always reserved for commercial work.

I hadn’t seen any of those moies because at 30, I think they’re too scary. I was very impressed/shamed by that child

That’s so awful! My mom’s birthday is right before Christmas, and she always struggled with how overshadowed it got, so we always make an effort to celebrate it as something seperate from Christmas. I make sure the wrapping paper on the gift is explicitly birthday paper, and I usually give her a bigger gift for her

considering her family had a tradition of buying each of their kids a house on the same street, right on the beach in...North Carolina I think, when they graduated college, I think she probably turned out fine.

No, concluded. She was ordered to stay off social media until the trial concluded.

My high school science lab partner believed the god put fossils there to test our faith thing, which really boded well for how we were going to work together in *science* class.

This is only slightly related, but I though for a really really long time that upshot meant the same thing as upside, and got really confused when someone used upshot in a negative context.

Why the pre-boarding for people with allergies? I say this as someone who has allergies, though none severe enough to warrant anyone on a plane changing their behavior, so I’ve never tried to mention it, but I just don’t see how pre-boarding would help

I have an ex who *lied to me at our 10 year high school reunion* about what he was doing for a living to make himself sound more impressive, I guess. We broke up when we were 14.

I really love that Taron Edgerton and Elton John seem to be friends now

Yeah, my first thought was that it was because she’s too old for him.

I agree completely. The reason we don’t let victims or relatives of victims pick the punishments for the crimes committed against them is because as a society, we’ve decided that these things should be decided as impartially as possible.
