This is a variation (in fact specifically the inverse) of the same discussion I had with someone about airline offerings the other day.
It exists - there are _plenty_ of cars available, which would have been “loaded” in the 1990s, and they’re dirt cheap. Nissan Versa, Hyundai Accent, Toyota Yaris, etc. And if you want a really nice simple car, there’s the Elantra, Corolla, Fit, Civic, Cruze, Focus, Soul, ....(the list goes on, endlessly). Hell, you…
When she says he’s “more handsome in person” it looks like she’s about to grab a knife and fork and eat him right up, y’all!!!
People stopped buying them :-/.
Didn’t you see the Jalop article of the “New” zero option 2016 Mitsubishi sitting on a dealer’s back lot? You know, the most basic of basic transportation that NO one ever BUYS!
Here is how it usually goes, “I want basic transportation....... as long as it has a peppy engine, bluetooth connectivity, a nice sound system, power everything, remote start, an interior that is not acres of cheap plastic, tinted windows, room to carry all my stuff, etc etc etc...”
Yeah I know, the current LLV is basically a slick bullet that ignores air.
They make Power Delivery batteries, this is but one product in a very wide line of PowerCores. USB-C PD tends to drive up the price significantly though.

I can negotiate “like a man.” Or woman (some of the toughest, if not THE toughest opposing counsel against whom I have negotiated are women). I get paid somewhat fairly to do it, and am good at it. Also, I negotiate 7 figure settlements entirely by email. They can take weeks to hammer the nittiest of details.
You definitely sound like someone I want to buy a car from. And by “buy a car from” I mean “punch in the nuts”.
Nobody gives a shit if it “benefits” you or not. This is simply the reality of shopping in the 21st century, and you can either adapt to that reality or become obsolete. Virtually every type of high-value bidding is done electronically now, from real estate to government contracting. We’re talking eight-to-nine figure…
Fuck off. I hate being in car dealerships. I hate negotiating; not because I’m a pussy but because I hate the lies and “I gotta talk to my manager” garbage. I don’t have the patience for it. I generally hate the bullshit car sales people spew. I guarantee I know more about the car I want to buy than the sales guy…
And your arrogant attitude is EXACTLY why people hate dealers.
“Negotiate like a man”? A real man’s got actual responsibilities and precious little time to shoot the shit with the likes of you.
You must be retired. For the rest of us working folk, we usually get one or two days off a week. And some states prohibit sunday car sales.
What does it benefit a dealer to send an itemized quote via email?
Dude, elsewhere in the business world competitive bids are sent, deals are negotiated, and contracts are signed for many many millions of dollars all via email. Why should buying a car be any different.
“Negotiate like a man” - you win the steak knives.
Coming into the dealership is why people go online. No one has all damn day to “negotiate like a man” at 7 dealerships to get the price they are looking for. A test drive plus dealing with a sales manager and getting a 4square sheet made is 1 to 1.5 hours minimum. If i can send an email and get a good price without…
