There are very few small tracks and getting fewer every year. And almost none close to the big cities.

that Lamborghini V12 shriek has got to be worth something.”

I’ve said it and I’ll say it again. It’s time we allow organized sideshows. Let’s just block off some time Saturday night in the down towns to allow these side shows to go on.  Give them a space. Give them an audience and let them have fun.

I don’t even like the current DRS system. I’m not like outraged over it, I just think it’s a bit gimmicky and artificial. This year there were clearly tracks were DRS was a bit overpowered. I feel like it would be far more beneficial to shrink the cars back down so there is more room to pass than giving weird

Every part of this sounds dumb. The current DRS system is fine, and does a good job of compensating for the inherent advantage a lead car always has from clean air. I’d rather not mess with that, but...

It might help if you could actually make it easier to get a new Toyota.

That pilot should be.... grounded.

Well surely they’ll pass that savings on to the consumer!

It wasn’t perfect, but it was mostly panned because it was marketed like a sim, when it was really more like Driveclub mixed with Forza Motorsport or Gran Turismo. If you enjoy those dreaded “simcades,” it was actually solid.

Except at a young age it can often (but not always) be trained out of people.

They didn’t “plug in” but charged at a generator all night? I guess TECHNICALLY they didn't plug into electricity, but that's like saying something akin to "gas car drives 1600 miles not stopping at a single gas station" while they just filled up from 5 gallon jugs the whole time.

I fully support “speed limiting” technology for anything that is “self driving” or automated driving aid (such as cruise control). You should not be able to “select” excessive speeding and then disengage from driving.

Imagine blowing billions of dollars chasing the next big technological revolution all because some idolized attention seeking narcissist was willing to promise the world it would be here “next year” over and over and over again. When in reality he was offering essentially the same fucking driver assistance as other

There is a worse problem - the 3 Laws don’t work, which is why Asimov developed them as a way to generate stories concerning how they can fail.

as with any system with multiple users while there will be more consistent load there will still be lulls and highs. by adding more storage the grid can avoid waste while also managing extra load. basically it helps smooth out the grid in the long run.

all things considered though we do need to get the base load way

To combat the problem, we’ll need more folks charging their cars during the day, like while at work or out and about town.

Yeah but it was built in 1909 so that kind of helps.  Indianapolis grew out to meet it, and the local value it enough to not NIMBY it out of existence.

Correct, and please don’t change it. We have enough spec series.

F1 is an engineering championship, parity is possible with the new CFD scale and budget cap, but there will always be outliers and top performers.

(maybe because it’s a comment on blackface where the joke is how obviously wrongheaded it is to be in blackface??)
