They might not care about fuel economy, but that won’t stop them from complaining about gas prices every time they have to spend $150 to drive 30 miles.

The problem is that they test slightly different things in slightly different ways, so the certification has to be done twice over instead of just sending the same data to two places.

You would have known this a long time ago if you read the owner’s manual.

The real regulatory answer is to require a CDL for anything classified as a “truck.” That would shape things up in a hurry.

I haven’t tried the remaster (wasn’t even aware of its existence), but I loved the 2010 game and had zero problems with the handling.

When it’s running, the blades are subject to both aerodynamic lift and centripetal force, so the actual droop can be quite minimal (But can vary depending on control positions). And blade tips can be moving quite a bit faster than 100 mph...

There’s not really “evidence” so much as a different story.

Yep. For a long time I thought that was because they were bracing against the downwash, but after I got to approach a running helicopter in real life I realized it’s because the main rotor is terrifying and you don’t really know where it is, so you give it a WIDE berth.

Here’s where you’re wrong: logic is a subset of math!

I was going to follow up with “everything is applied physics, except physics, which is applied math,” but there’s probably some philosophical debate to be had over weather math is merely derived from the physics of this universe, or if physics proceeds from what is allowed by mathematics as the foundation of reality,

IANAL, but I’m pretty sure the difference is federal vs state laws.

“the reasons behind that design decision have to do with chemicals, which is chemistry, and we’re here to talk physics”

Well at the end of the day you’re paying for *energy* (which is what a kWh is), not power.

Ford’s keypad entry system was great, wish it was on my current daily.

KBB is horrible for anything remotely uncommon. There’s just not enough data, and values can change SO MUCH based on minor details.

This is probably for the best. You just know all the Tesla Bros will switch it to the continuous-fart-noise mode.

Eh, astrophotography doesn’t have to be that expensive. You can go a long way with it for like two or three grand. But they won’t have TIME for drugs & booze.

I have grown to hate the 0-60 metric as well. They game it so hard with launch control, which you rarely have any real opportunity to use in a way that matters. 5-60 is better in that it forbids launch control games and makes you deal with turbo lag (if applicable). 30-70 will tell you how well it does merging and

Well typically Koreans have fought this kind of thing by having their own manufacturers make a car with all of the features as standard, for $20k less. Not sure laws will be needed.

(I don’t shop at Wal-Mart, just making commentary)
