I don’t know how the author got it into their head that UralKali used red/white/blue. A simple google search reveals the truth.

I have a couple of relatively nice sports cars that I take out to track & autocross on occasion, and sometimes I second-guess the route that I took, especially since I tried SCCA rallycross last year. You can buy a competition-prepped E36 or Spec Miata for pretty cheap (some single-seater racers are not too bad

“Oooh red, white & black, how exciting!”

=(

Ugh, no, that gauge cluster is terrible. It looks like they bolted it on last-minute with no thought behind it. The harsh corners in the bezel clash with the interior’s curves, and the lack of a shade means it’s going to have *awful* glare problems.

What’s the actual rated towing capacity on that? I have a Jetta Sportwagen TDI, but I’m not sure it’s going to cut it when I eventually need five to six thousand pounds towing for track cars.

Tough to argue...IMO this is just an ok livery on a great-looking car....on the other hand the AMF1 has too many stickers to really be a great livery.

Right, weight classes is another good example of this type of thing....

My main sport of choice is auto racing, which makes me think of this issue in terms of “technical regulations” governing the classification of the vehicles. If you analogize this to humans, then you’re looking at an “unlimited” class (i.e. LMP1) in men, and a “limited” class (i.e. LMP2) in women. Except that nobody

This is why I find this survey suspect. All of these “Advanced safety features” people say they want are just components of an autonomous driving system. “More safety” and “autonomous driving” are being co-developed at this point. They only way you get “more safe” without autonomous features these days is five-points

Yeah and then good luck getting your steering wheel controls to work (if applicable).

I drive an Elise, and want to buy an Atom eventually, so I guess the most modern feature I can’t live without is, uhhh, seatbelts?

Wow. But why?? Are they amortizing the production cost of the plane over its hours of operation? Including all the secret service salaries? Per-flight overhead?

At 0% APR, you can’t afford not to!

No, you’re thinking of Ivy. Chun-Li was from DoA.

For the past several years I’ve watched Total Recall on Valentine’s Day, for reasons completely unrelated to romance. This year I added Big Trouble In Little China and Starship Troopers.

It was so excellently cast and acted, it is just super-weird that it’s the only best-picture winner to get zero acting nominations (just the Academy™ fucking it up again).

I’ve had this idea too. Except it goes for everything legally identified as a “truck” or “SUV” (i.e., the thing that allows them to get around normal bumper heights, safety, and efficiency regs). It would be amazing.

My whole gripe is that the S3 Elise is “illegal” because it doesn’t meet “safety standards”, but the damn Silverado is allowed to go around murdering pedestrians all willy-nilly.
