Fair enough. Not trying to imply anything about “all Xers/boomers”, but they both fall into the “over 45" demographic that seems to be leading the charge on CUVs.

Unfortunately those gyroscopes automatically shut off when the bike comes to a stop. What we need is spinning rims.
Yeah, millenials are trying to be money conscious, buying cheap cars that will last them 8-12 years, while boomers (and technically Xers too now I guess) are out there leasing new crossovers every 2 years.
To be honest these look ok with a tow-hook plate.
Should be easy enough. There’s plenty out there that will give you an agreed value policy if you show them the bill of sale and give them enough money.
Seems like almost all my friends who have bought a car in the last 5-10 years have bought a small car. Mazda 2, Civic, Yaris, Ioniq, Versa, that sort of thing. Only exceptions I can think of are my friend who needed a tow vehicle and my Dad who bought a C-Class (which is still smaller than most things). Oh and someone…
Especially high-mounted mass.
At my old job we took delivery of a cyclotron which had similar logistical challenges. The thing came in two halves, each of which weighed 110 tons and came on its own rig of 19 axles. It was a long slow process to get it through the parking lot, but probably easier than the load in the OP since it wasn’t a long load…
Oops, I thought 13 was in ‘71! I should know better.
For sure, but some things are lost to time either way.
I was gonna say, that looks like an SRB...those things were seriously powerful rockets. Was the Aries concept going to use solid fuel? Like, just from pure specs, strapping together 4 or 5 SRBs to make a heavy-lift moon rocket sounds great, but as solid-fuel rockets that would just be way too terrifying to use for…
I read that a lot of the technology on the Saturn V and related Apollo equipment is lost to time simply because the associated trades are not practiced anymore. Manufacturing has moved from hand-welding & metallurgy to CNC, 3D printing, that kind of thing, so nobody in the business knows how things used to be done.…
It always makes me sad to think that people got “bored” with humans landing on the moon after like a year and a half...
Is any property within earshot of that of a low $ value?
Maybe the impact wasn’t severe enough for the airbags to be warranted? I’m not so concerned about that.
I suppose I’d pay up to double the normal price of a standard repair job to make sure I would never ever have to do it again...
I’m not sure what the point of the “Paradox Theater” framing device was in the end, but I really enjoyed the film. The camera work really did a lot of heavy lifting...lots of long, static shots let you settle into scenes, and then it would transition to a lot of cuts and suddenly you start getting tense and know…
A mid-engined convertible will solve those problems.
If someone dies in a car crash, you have their odometer reading at death, and the year and mileage of the car’s initial registration with that owner is more or less public record (on the title).
So I’ve just been told! It is now hotkeyed to F9 on a keyboard macro!
