I had an 05 for 40,000 miles and I agree, it was close to being a great car. That 5 speed was the deal killer in that the car was simply not happy on the highway, revving around 4000 at highway speeds. No center armrest (yeah, I know, whine whine) made those highway miles even less comfortable.

Looks Audi-esque, which is a good thing, but still too much like an Escape (front and rear), which is a bad thing. I'm not fond of the front or rear of the current Escape, but at least the turn signals on the Lincoln are not part of the lower spoiler in front.
